It's not just the raw power of the grenade. It's that you can carry three of them. And then restock them from nanohives. |

Not to be that guy however, grenades are not God. It is a case of changing how you react, for example if a person is in front of you and you hear a grenade land right around you then start sprinting forward and most of the time it won't blow anywhere near you because you are now traveling in the opposite direction the grenade is traveling. You also have to account for the occasional talented grenade chef and people just getting the jump on you. Almost anything can be overcome by evolving yourself. |

I think 3 is a reasonable number. I have long disagreed with Nanohives restocking grenades.
But, if you can make it to one of the few Supply Depots, then yes, everything should be restocked - including Nanos. |

As one of the best grenadiers in the game...you're preaching to the choir.
Any halfway decent grenadier knows to cook it so it explodes as it arrives. Indicators are insufficient compared to chrome, or more people improved at their culinary prowess. Either way...700+ damage from one grenade of three?? That you can then continue relentishing? Discuss. |

I just posted in the bugs forum... A core locus grenade dealt 990 damage to me. Killed me in one shot from 850 ehp.
I have a 250 shield buffer and 600 armor. Cores say they only do 600 damage.
My shield buffer should have resisted about 300 damage, and then the other 300 would be turned into 360...and I would be left with about half armor left.
Nope. I just died.
This same guy killed me probably 7 times that match just running around spamming grenades everywhere. |

It seems that grenades do more damage when thrown than they say they do in their stats. I have tested this on myself. If I just continuously hold a grenade in my hand until it explodes (as a heavy), I will not die. However, throwing it and standing on top of it kills me immediately.
Is there some sort of hidden stat and/or function that increases grenade damage based on where the grenade explodes? |

My grenades are ****** up lately.
I cook them so they explode directly under the enemie's feet, and they take no damage and kill me.

Maybe its just karma. All explosive weapons hit invisible barriers and quit dealing any damage. More than likely they established two different blast detection radii to improve damage chance, but it did something wonky to the numbers. Apparently they have not figured out how to allow blasts through the ground but not through walls... Or something like that. |

Don't know what you're implying. I guess you're saying I don't know how to play this game and have no idea what shields are for. I guess I can forgive your ignorance, but I will not. Stupid thinking like this is why this game is where it's at today. People not knowing their arse from their elbow.

I guess heavies are suppose to evolve wings then, because as far as I know, there's no way for fat suits to dodge nades. This plus the fact there's no resistance to explosive weapons makes this a joke in itself.
CCP: "heavies are point defense! we're going to slow you down, give you a crappy cqc weapon, but we're not going to give you resistance to explosive spam. Have fun!" |

I refuse to spend a single SP into Grenades when my Militia BPO can do the job about as well. Plus, with only two, I have learned to be quite a decent chef. Start cooking while sprinting at someone in my Scout suit, toss it ahead to weaken them enough to finish off. |

Doesn't that display the total damage dealt? As in, you could deal 600 to a suit with 601 eHP, then finish them with a grenade and have it display 600+Damage From Grenade? |

Blasted in the back by a Shotgun? Just turn around, backpedal and hipfire. You've got lots of time. Unless I opened with a Nade.
Point-blank blue flare from Shotguns and Knives. Because CCP. 2-4 Shotgun blasts to drop a well-fitted Medium. Because CCP. Walk-stalking -- forever -- with Knives that routinely miss. Because CCP.
I see you, you don't see me. You should've been dead already, but I've learned my limits. Yes, I could've closed the gap and blasted you in the back. But this isn't Chromosome. A Shotgun in the back isn't enough these days. Because CCP.
