Would both sides please stop crying or gloryfing the changes? We only have some half backed informations regarding swarms and av grenades. But there are aswell flux grenades, proxy mines etc. The tankers would have the upper hand and demolish every 1 when AV changes would be put into the game right now without the vehicle changes.
And tankers stop gloryfing your tanks cause after the changes are beeing implemented your tanks wont be the same as before. Mainly due to the uber nerf of module slots. You guys have to keep in mind that armor AND shield tankers will only have 3 slots to get their tanking modules on. 3 slots instead of 5 like you have now. This means that 90% of the players will simply put this on: -plate/extender -rep/shield booster -1 active hardener
And thats it! No passive resistance mods. No OP armor reps which give you 100% HP back in 2 secs. No tanks with insane high HP. There is a limit off what you will be aible to do. Shield tanks will still have the lowest HP and armor tanks are still going to suffer from the 30% damage bonus against them which allmost neglects the nerf on swarms. And 175m from swarms are still a noticible distance and the usual combat range as it is today. The vehicle changes basically mean for tankers: -much less tanking capability -less variety (cause there will be the 1 fit to rule them all lol)
for av'ers - AV weapons need to be toned down to be in line with tanks. - If Av stays untouched the rebalanced tanks will very much die in 2-3 volleys from a proto swarmer or 1 hit killed by proto breach forges.
I just want that both sides should understand that none of the changes are coming without changes to the opposite. Just see it like this: two sides getting hit with a nerf bat so it should equal each other out and we are sitting in the same situation like before. And its probably 2-3 months from now till we actually see those changes in action so chill out. |

You know its funny you mention how many volleys it would take to kill something An unfitted militia tank has enough EHP to eat a full clip from proto level swarms and keep on going
Please let that sink in and really think about it For 0 SP cost I immediately trump proto level gear, and again for 0 SP cost I can purchase militia modules further increasing how much I beat it by
Now please explain to me how spending 0 SP into something and being able to beat prototype level gear designed solely to counter me is balanced? And please none of that "Well a guy in a militia drop suit can beat a guy in a proto suit" since thats comparing apples to oranges and in that situation it has to be seriously worked for, none of this "Oh, I was hit by one swarm just now and it didnt even take my shields all the way down and now I have a full second to activate my modules and cruise away having taken no serious damage" and again thats in militia gear |

Seeing how my hard earned SP into AV is going to be useless, I'd be happy with just a simple AV respec.
All tanks have to do now is travel in groups of 2-3, successfully rendering the other team's infantry useless. AV or not, come 1.7, this'll be a tank playground once again. |
