More recently in April of 2013
Still not here. The alarming part is not that its still not here, but its the fact that CCP made no mentioned of it being planned for the future in the recent devblog on war points. They promised things like "revenge" kill bonus WP, but not mCRU points.
If an action helps your team, then it should be rewarded.
If its about stopping people from farming points, people can farm points with drop uplinks for faaaar cheaper, and with less personal risk.
If you think transport assists are enough of an indirect reward, then imagine it applied to drop uplinks; imagine drop uplinks spawns only gave you a tiny percentage of the WP the spawned player gets in the next minute. Sounds awful, right?
I'd just like a confirmation or denial of whether this feature is still planned. |

Change uplink WP to the same mechanic used to calculate transport WP. Actions within a minute of spawning on an uplink gives the person who dropped the uplink 15% of the WP earned.

I've actually been dropship piloting again and I agree, the risk/reward ratio is all screwed up, which is fine because its a blast but the fun/isk ratio goes haywire when your broke.
the rewards for piloting are slim and they do a number on your kdr if you aren't an assault dropship (which I'm not, but I'm not broke either), which I've mostly run transport and CAS with gunners / scanners
I am always amazed at the dedicated dropship pilots because a bad day is really a bad day for your bank.
Which is why I main scout while do dropship piloting as an expensive hobby.

Apparently, the intended use of a logi vehicle is to take advantage of their massive pg/cpu by tanking them out to a ridiculous level, and then not use them for logistics purposes. Seriously, no points for reps or spawns? It's no wonder people murder taxi, since that's the only way to earn points from this huge isk and sp sink. |

yup there is no rewards for vehicle logi work and thats why logi vehicles are only ever hp tanked the same can be said for logi durp ships |

Actually, I think this was fixed. One of my corp member but a scranner on a LAV and I was able to see the flickering blips on the Radar that weren't from an handheld active scanner.
It was only once that I noticed it so, YMMV.

Just be considerate of the vehicles specialist and the modules they should be using once they're back in the game though are likely going to be looked at.

That would be the most expensive, risky, and logistically impossible way to exploit WP.

It would be nice if MCRUs even worked right. More than half the time they won't show up on the map when looking to spawn unless you cycle through spawns repeatedly, and even then.
And of course, we still need some way to kick people out of our ships.

Not to my knowledge no, but I just fart around in GD most days, so I wouldn't be the best person to ask. I stopped going to IRC a looooong time ago because of trolls and lack of dev interaction, and I usually only glance through the feedback and bug forums.

I just flew around an mCRU Myron for 3 matches having people spawn in constantly and drop out, and got no WP whatsoever.
The transport assists are a nice touch, but you should still get points for having someone spawn in your vehicle.
