A week ago, my headset stoped working.
I thought it was my stupid cat chewing on the wires. Arg!
but then I heard lots of people were having problems.And then I noticed that even if I removed my headset, squad talk wasnt even coming through the speakers regularly.
i tried restarting game. I tried power cycling the system.
nope.
So I actually opened an support ticket. They suggested I go into the PS3 save data folder, and then delete the DUST514 savedata.
(So, Games -> Saved Data -> Dust514)
This actually worked!
For the cost of watching the intro movie again, I got working coms back.

if you go to an alt, then go back to your main that works too. i have to do it everything i log into play. |

This is what I've started doing. Keep in mind I'm using a standard PS3 Bluetooth headset.
I keep the headset in its base until I'm in-game and logged in. Then I power on the headset and connect it using the audio device settings in the XMB. Since I've started doing this, I've had no trouble. |

I had heard that once you open your alt, you need to actually change the mic settings on alt. Whether it is turn off and on, then relog or turn mic off, log out, log into main and turn on. I can't remember specifically, but I know this worked for a few corpmates. |
