I just have the basic pistol, but I'm wanting to get level 4 in it. My question is that although it's great for headshots, is the Scrambler Pistol that good at body shots? I usually don't want to miss my target, so I just aim for the body. I figure with more bullets in a clip, I can do better than a SMG can. |

Scrambler is still good in centre of mass. I use the Breach and you can take someone down, even tanked up pretty high, level 4 is the magic clip size, unless you run damage mods then you may get away with less bullets in the clip. |

I recently skilled mine all the way up from 0 to proficiency 4. I gotta say the thing is a beast. Use an assault variant and just go for center mass, if you get a headshot so be it, but with the auto aim the thing does mad damage at an insane rate. |

Turn aim assist off, aim at the head, get good, and have fun insta killing everyone. Also I recommend the Tactical version. It's a salvage item, so treat it like an officer weapon. It has lots of zoom so you can be safe while headshotting people with it. |

Even without the headshot bonus i would pick the Scram pistol over any other sidearm. |

If you have any ninja skills whatsoever, run a breach and just execute reddots with a headshot.
Be an opportunist, you'll get called all sorts of ragefilled hateful names but man is it ever fun. |

LOL... don't listen to this guy? Sorry I must have butt hurt you sometime ago. Facts are facts. You told him to not listen to two people already in this thread yet you expect him to take the advice of a no name scrub who doesn't know the first thing about top tier play. |

Scrambler Pistol > Nova Knives for one simple reason:
Range.

SCR pistols are awesome, by the time you empty an assault pistol clip your enemy, no matter how much tank, will either be dead or almost dead just from pumping body shots into him.
Headshots are beautiful though. Most people go down in 2-3. |

Scrambler Pistol > Nova Knives for one simple reason: Range. I carry both. Reason Killing people quietly with Nova Knife works better in most cases, by the time the third guy is knifed at the objective somebody notices. Pistol works for this situation, first shot is at the head, if I miss then it's all centre of mass while remaining mobile. This seems effective for my play style. |

I've been using standard scrambler pistols on my standard Gallente light frame (as I await the Amarr light) and can still down people easily with body shots. Really, you go for head shots to conserve ammo, but body shots work just as well provided you have ammo.
Of course, I also have Ops 5 and Prof 3, so I'm firing 11 times before reloading and doing 9% extra damage. |

Currently i have op 4, and it makes your mlt scramblers have 10 shots, breach gets 8, assault i find has a higher fitting for lower damage, and marginally higher RoF. The breach requires you to be patient, AA helps, but don't rely entirely on it. Aim up a bit and help 'ease' the crosshairs over the ememy. Also note that you will never need to ADS with this one. I run it as a main because it has higher maxium damage over it's ammo. Standard/assault are pretty good as backups, though they're a little low on ammo to be main weapons. Recommend using as either locuses and spamming scram till shoelds down, then bait with nades. Burst is a little odd, the Car9 has amazing potential DpS. Higher Rof than an Ar, but it is NECESSARY to ads at all times. Plus you only get 2-3 clips of backup, so nanohives are a necessity to even consider using this. Tactical is a very wonderful scrambler, having better zoom and range. However it has 5 base shots, which at lv4 gives 9 base ammo... Overall pretty good weapons. |

The real reason you would use an assault over a standard is not for the marginally increased rate of fire but the increased ammo capacity.
Also I disagree with the "never ADS" thing. Yes most the time you should hip fire it, but I find there is this perfect distance you can find where ADS makes it very easy to land headshots. |

Besides, at a certain range, body shots become useless, although headshots still function astoundingly well even at 30% efficiency. If you din't have the confidence thar you can land headshots while that AR guy still has 80% efficiency, then you should run away and re-engage on more favorable terms. |

I only don't ADS when the opponent gets the drop on me. I only aim for the head unless they are really close and I can't get a clear shot. |

I've been running Scramblers pretty much since Uprising started, and other than the gimped Burst, they are gold.I'll go toe to toe with anyone with my trusty TT-3 any day of the week.
Viziam is probably pound for ISK the best one to have, and with my proficiency up to 4,there isn't a lot that won't take massive damage from it.And even though the Cartham Assault has more ROF,it really isn't very noticeable.
In all,if there is absolutely nothing positive to say about Dust,I have to say that this game has the best pistols of any shooter that I've ever played. |

Wondered why I got first, you got second, and Aero got fifth. But are you using the Tactical version? It saves my life on my dragonfly scout (only scout suit I have). |
