I want to see how new corporation will handle the changes. There's going to be a point where making your own corp with goal of PC is going to be impossible. Unless pub matches and pub battles cough up more Isk.
Also, can anyone say reset? think CCP would let 60+mil SP player walk around like gods while some 500,000 k noob gets out of the academy? Down the line of course |

Correct, Reset = No Respec=Yes MOST new guys are stupid and have a shelf life of 1-2 weeks, if they make it past week 2 they'll stick around
Right and out of the hundreds or thousands that try this game out only a few remain( like I did. Every time a duvolle murdered me I kept thinking " can't wait to have one to you scrub and kill you 1 on 1" ). Don't get me wrong, I'm not up for reset, if it happens I'm out (maybe lol). I know very well a lot of you would quit if that we're to happen. It's just that MOST would not stick around and it's hard enough keeping the current player base playing this game. If not enough people are staying and new blood isn't sticking around to get proto stomped than CCP had a problem on it's hands.
Also respec does not help new players. and the changes to PC don't help either if eve were to be more intergrated with this game. |

True but does it bring in new players? |

Also respec does not help new players. and the changes to PC don't help either if eve were to be more intergrated with this game. The problem with the "reset" argument is that the player base will never be static. Even with a reset and all the damage that would do we would be at the same point again after 6 months. If the game is to survive there will always be new players and the disparity of SP. Balance has to be achieved via different methods. Matchmaking, PvE, More rewarding modes that veterans will flock to, and the concept that more SP makes you good in many things but that an individual with less SP can be just as good and compete with his/her one thing.
I completely agree with you. The thing which I was trying to say and failing to get across was that if the game remains as it is than it's going to slowly die and a reset seemed like away for CCP to try and remedy that. Not saying I was for it or not. Just a theory.
If PvE gives you SP than that would be an awesome way for blueberries to get the hang of the game and stay around.
But also theres the problem that depending on the features of the game and the future mechanics, new corps would have a huge mountain to overcome. Heck they already do in many ways. And many of the things CCP wants to add to the game for corps involves Isk, and no doubt a lot of Isk. Unless a new CEO recruits all the new guys from local and sets taxes pretty high up. Buying clone packs will be the least of his worries. Either way that's my 2 cents. I'm all for the little guys that don't have 200 million sitting around in their wallets.
