BPO's are the ONLY reason I stayed with dust. I have lost 100's of millions of isk due to glitches in the past. That is until my BPO's came along. Now, I deposit 10,000,000+ isk everyday I play, into my corp account. My most expensive bpo suit is 30k. I no longer get mad and break a controller when I get lag and lose a 200k suit. The game is more fun when your not worried about losing a lot of isk. I still lose a ship or two every match running my links, but can still make a reasonable profit. I'm guessing that so many people are using them, no one is making money? Maybe you should look at how players are paid for their time in battles. Kill awards should be the same for every kill. Not based on suit value. Yesterday a sniper went 57/0 and got second place. Guess who got first place with 14/6? Me with 4300 war points. |

Yup my Sver minnie logi is the only reason i play too. If they take that away from me there will be no reason for me to even try to play. Though i have bpo suits from the closed beta they are nothing compared to my raven assault or my sver logi. |

I think you should come to terms with the fact that the Eve universe is about experiencing real loss. In this case, it's losing isk. The balance in the economy is not going to come about from people using free suit fittings and banking all the money they win from matches. If that'd be the case, CCP would nerf the income from battles so hard anyone using "paid" suits would go bankrupt.
The fix for CCP is to balance a match's isk win/loss around an average. The average for the "loss" category can't be zero. I'm not sure what CCP is going to do about the BPO situation. I, myself, have many BPOs that I play with as well. I'm just realistic on the fact that having free things really isn't a CCP or an Eve thing, and I'd be delusional to continue to believe that I'd be able to run free suits or nearly-free suits in perpetuity.
The design of the game is to put your isk on the line to make more isk in the end. That's the most basic premise of it. Sure, weapon disparities and other currently-imbalanced issues have to be addressed, but at the end of the day it will be about everything having a cost. I wouldn't be surprised if Orbital Strikes began having a cost (both MCC ones and Eve ones).
What I haven't heard the answer to, though, is that if "free" fits are a huge problem, then what is to stop someone from just running militia fits (not even supplied by AUR-sourced BPOs) exclusively? That would effectively circumvent the "everything costs" design. |

If they don't remove the BPOs, then the entire STD and MLT level market will be worse than a joke. Why should I waste my time producing Minmatar Logistics STD level suits if everyone who wants them are making them on demand for free? You need to realize that the BPOs as we have them are not true BPOs, they are something else entirely. Should you be refunded? Yes. Should you be allowed to just play a New Eden game with no risk? No. |

To answer that, it's the shear difference in performance and the set nature of the free fits. If I want the fit to have what I want on it, I have to pay for it. If I want the fit to have decent amounts of HP, I have to pay for it. If I want the suit to have a decent gun, I have to pay for it. Eventually, I've replaced the entire suit with stuff I have to pay for without even realizing it. It's like the free newbship you get in EVE whenever you dock up in a pod. It comes with a gun, but it'll never shoot down a Rifter. BPOs are more like having infinite Rifters... |

CCP can nerf all they want. I will STILL be using thew CHEAPEST/free suits and no one will be making a dime off me. Heck I only die a few times a match as it is. All I can say is, enjoy them while you got em. |

Sir, please watch this before thinking an unthinkable ship can't take down something. Besides, I've seen an Ibis kill a Rifter before. It was hilarious. |

I think you should come to the terms that the real universe operates on a principle of when you SELL something to someone for real money you don't CHANGE what you sold them and make it less after the fact. It would be like me selling you a tuxedo for your wedding then changing it to a dildo costume on the big day.
