This is an even better fix than the lock out timer...Some stupid idiot took my DROPSHIP...so I am pissed. He was a blueberry!!
(I was testing stuff so I did not run in squad..it is MY FAULT)
But it got me thinking..
If the vehicle is NOT militia...then people who do not have the SP invested to use those vehicles should be allowed to enter...So if I hack those super crazy LAV and they are higher than militia..andI have no SP in vehicles I should not be able to use it..ALSO if someone on my team drops and enforcer Tank...and I dont have SP allocated to use it. I should not be able to get driver seat. (I would say any seat but that is too much)
Or if I hack anenforcer tank I cant use it because SP issues...
I know the coding would be hard. |

I actually kinda like this....but maybe there is like a 30second timer so that only the owner can get in first before the rest of the blues, I know there is a short one now to prevent people from taking stuff that just got dropped by an RDV but it's near pointless if the RDV pilots are as drunk as they normally are and decide to drop it halfway across the map. |

A check up the skill tree for requisites? Sounds interesting. They'd just have to splice over the fitting restrictions to driving restrictions. But what if you wanted to let a friend test out a tank or Dropship so they could decide if they want to spec into it? |

Just make so vehicles are squad enterable only. If driver wants a blueberry in, they can press(and hold) [square], if driver isn't in tank, only squad members can enter. Blueberries can enter via hacking it, should be 7 second hack regardless of hacking level. If driver wants to free space for squadmates, or empty vehicle for recall, tap square. Squad lock will then be put in place. |

No.. If an enemy hacks your vehicle, its theirs. I prefer an options window when in battle(press start> battle options, this is also where aimbot/auto aim on/off should be) you should be able to set vehicles to none/squad/corp/team.
For your idea maybe make the SP restriction for modules, so they can drive, shoot turrets, but resists,reps and other modules are unusable. |

Good Idea, but what if you get shot out the LAV and a squad member wants to look after it untill you get back. Or what if your Q-Syncing and the same thing happens?
Just have a built in module for squad locking vehicles. |

You should only be able to enter a vehicle in the driver seat if you have the skills to use it. Same as with using modules in vehicles you enter; If you don't have the skills, you should not be able to use them or any turrets you're manning.
it makes 0 sense being able to use equipment you aren't skilled to use in the eve universe.
