I am NOT specced into scouts or even light suits..
But you know how we invisible when we spawn in? I think scout suits should get a module (a pre-built in one) that can do it...
It'll help diversify the game..Make scouts suits something different from med dropsuits other than speed and low hp. A scanner can break the invisibility I guess...or getting shot at or shooting can make you visible..
I am a MED drop suit AR user. |

unless u stick out very heavily on the radar. That defeats the purpose because anything with an icon on the radar will have an icon on the screen above its head. |

SOTA man agree with me...I will vouch for giving heavies more love..
No think about it..if you shoot you lose it...if you change weaposn you loose it...if you walk you blur if you runn you blur even more to a point there is no use for it...(Or you become transclucent rather than clear)
So the more you move the more translucent you become..
Scans make you completely visible..
Hacking makes u visible..It just for a flank manuever and getting first shot off..
Also it'll have a 30 second recharge after u become visible again. |

I still think it should be a passive invisibility, similar to Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Future Soldier. you can crouch and be invisible, but if you move too fast it goes away. I think you should be able to switch weapons while invisible as well as equipment though you can't fire a weapon or hack an objective.
I think that would be just the buff scouts need. |

I think this is a great idea, but probably make it it's own specialization: predator Role bonus- -75% to cpu usage on cloaking modules. Skill bonus- +10% to movement speed while cloaked per level.
Think like eve. You get speed reduction while cloaked. Or like Crysis. If you move at all your cloak is reduced and energy bar/timer drains faster. |

Nah..I think it should only be flanking and getting first shot off...THat is all..

This is a great idea, but it also needs to thwart auto-aim for it to work...auto-aim seems act like a scout's head is magnetic. |

make it like ghost recon where if your crouched and not moving completely invisible, but when moving while crouched you are slightly visible. Also you break camouflage momentarily when scanned or while shooting. that would be a great change for scouts |

invisible with nova knives and SG.... or a Thales.
I don't like the invisibility idea, unless they are 100% stationary. I actually think scout suits profile dampening suit go down per suit tier, Adv suit beats STD scanner, PRO suit beats ADV scanner PRO suit with profile dampeners beats PRO scanners. Considering the fact that everyman and his dog has figured they need at least one scanner per squad, and most people are skilling to proto tier scanners. |

It would be complete BS I agree, make an infrared-like module to use to see through the cloaks, you could tier it like scanners too: Lvl 1 in infrared modules can see lvl one and faintly see number two in invisibility. Also, make them expensive as hell, especially in terms of pg and cpu |

Like in EVE I'm of the opinion that scouts shout have to remain stationary to gain the benefits of a passive module that cloaks you after a 1-2 stationary crouching period. During this time you cannot move, or fire without breaking cloak, and you scan profile drops significantly.
That was leaving sleeper scouts at objectives becomes a viable tactic. |

with the inclusion of scanning that is all it would be good for anyway...

I like the active 10-15 sec stationary module idea as well, that makes sense to me. |

Compromise: Cloaking scouts are required to give up their light AND sidearm weapon...and in exchange receive a stealth cloak that makes them almost invisible (i.e. Predator) along with a melee weapon that is 100% one-hit-kill if performed from the side/rear.
I'd love to give it a try. |

I am a MED drop suit AR user. First off, I do agree, scouts need some love.
But this is OP.
They are more meant for CQC (IMO) depending on how you fit them. Imagine a guy with Nova Knives and an SMG running around killing you every time you spawn in because you can't see him. Seriously, did you even think about this? |

OP, thanks for the warm thoughts, but I'm afraid perma-invisibility would be too great a buff. Maybe something we can click off/on, with finite duration and a reasonably lengthy cooldown? |

yes, I think people did. It works well it Ghost recon, and that's not a high health game. having scouts that can go invisible for a short amount of time while crouched is pretty awesome and will help balance them. They may be meant for CQC, but do not perform well at any ranges. Especially since hit detection was improved. |
