A week after the Amarrian campaign to take control of the key regions in low security space, I am proud to announce that the Matari loyalists have retaken practically every region lost during that period.
At time of writing; TLF are now in control of:
Bleak Lands @ 97% Devoid @ 100% Heimatar @ 98% Metropolis @ 97%
With excellent co-ordination of the ground teams and with awesome support of our capsuleer brothers and sisters our offensive has seen the return of practically all districts to Matari control.
It seems to me that the previous Amarrian campaign was only successful due to the influx of "hired guns" who were fighting for materialistic rewards. Those "hired guns" have now disappeared and left the rabble of Amarrian troops out in the cold.
I'm sure a PIE representative will be commenting here that our victory was shallow or some other rhetoric, but I will just point them to the GalNet Starmap as a reminder of the loyalty for the Matari people many of us have.

Your "victory" is as pointlessas any other win or loss during the entire Empyre War. Wait a month or two, Amarr has taken control of all the districts again, then Matari retake them all and this "celebration" starts all over again.
The entire war serves no other purpose but to keep the Empires from slitting each other's throats and sate the bloodlust of capsuleers and clone soldiers. The war is unwinnable for a purpose, and your fighting affects the citizens living in the war territories negatively, such as in Intaki right now.
All you Faction loyalists shouting "victory!" each time after majority districts are in control are fools. |

I agree, its a sad state of affairs for civilians in the warzone, but what choice do we have? Leave the area to be controlled by Amarr? What then for the civilians?
Any diplomacy has to be handled outside of any mercenary or capsuleer involvement, but who on both sides will step forward?
So we will continue to fight and rejoice at the victories and lament at the losses. Sure its un-winnable, in your eyes, but the way I see it, the longer those regions are in the control of the right faction the more stability there is for the civilians. |

The Combat in Devoid was bitter, but the lines could not hold under the WINMATAR alliance onslaught, we did have reports of New Age Outlaws pushing heavily on planets like Raa and Uusanen.
With many of the loyalists not engaged in fighting against each other out in Molden Heath much of the war effort faltered, leaving small garrison forces holding vastly expansive regions of space, where, in a truly historical fashion, the Minmatar attacking key positions in a lightning guerrilla war that broke the lines and forced us back off planet to our stations in orbit.
(( Like Aero and much of PIE we are taking a bit of a break from FW, though we did see Cyrius in a couple of matches where we were running our 6 man joke scout fits which was hilarious every time we killed one of them))
As we did near on a month ago we will regroup, and we will push again.

All you Faction loyalists shouting "victory!" each time after majority districts are in control are fools. Actually the warring in Molden Heath has actually created an Economic Boom. Citizens don't suffer as much as you would think. Most every district has an abandoned factory or rig where mercs can contest the land.
You are right though, the warring helps to keep the militaries of each Empire "safely mobilized". CONCORD could easily restore order to the region. Mostly through the help of some Empirial charters that would force the Empires to stop and bring peace. Not going to happen though. Its not happening because it's gains outweighs it's losses.

Well if you read God's Architect's lore he and SVER TB constitute and entire galaxy wandering people, with plenty of civilians and such that just got blasted planetside. Whose to say Mercs are not populating areas with the intent to form small colonies? |

On one hand, I'm glad about the victories for the Republic but I'm sure PIE will be back and it'll be a ping pong match. |

I'm doing pub matches too. I'm trying to save up some ISK, so I don't go broke so quick when I get proto items as well as restocking. Restock is evil. Haha. I've been using all militia gear mostly. Dying a lot but getting that dinero. Once I get more ISK (I have about 2.5 mil) I'll head back into Faction War.
You're making me want to get my light suit out and do some matched. |

I was about to go fight for the minmatar because they were the loosing side, but that has changed now. I'm happy that I don't have to switch. It is so unorganized in their comms. |

Ha who you telling! I lonewolf in FW, but I might try to make a squad whenever I'm on. I never really see too much talk about FW when I'm on, every now and then I see someone trying to make a squad but it's seldom at times.
I guess it's similar to the Republic though. Different tribes, different minds but all trying to make the same thing happen. |
