I've been looking through the forums lately after a break from DUST (was incredibly disappointed at 1.5 mkay?) and I see alot of stuff on 1.7.
New guns... in 1.7.
AR nerf and reclassification as the BR in... 1.7.
Vehicle Restructuring in... Never. Nome things never change I guess...
UI fixes in 1.6
Did I miss a month? It's still October, right? With all this talk about 1.7, is 1.6 content locked? Does anyone know what IS in 1.6? Is this 1.4.1 all over again? 1.4.2? I'm not trolling, I'd seriously like to know. Aggregate all 1.6 information here.
So far, I've seen 1.6 get...
Repair Tool users can see HP bars.
UI freezing bug when using 'show info' fixed.
I'll add more to the list as people send them in, but great (insert deity here), there's so little buzz and so much hype for the December update, as well as so much search clutter for 1.6 derived from when we were speculating about it before 1.5 that I can't find anything solid. There has GOT to be something in 1.6, some major bit of content, some tangible feature... |

1.6 is all about bug fixes and optimization. We might see some small additions to the tutorials but nothing too significant.
Actual stuff has been pushed back at least twice now, so if it doesn't come in 1.7, there'll be some pretty angry folk all over i reckon. |

I'd be angry, but it just feels like too much wasted effort at this point... I wanted to spend this month Platinuming my backlog while enjoying the yearly TF2 and Killling Floor things, but now November is open as well with Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Dragon's Dogma, Dragon's Crown, Warriors Orochi 3 all done, and working on Disgaea D2 and Armored Core Verdict Day. November is gonna be a sad month :c |

1.6 is likely dropping November 5th. It might drop a little later than that, but I doubt it'll drop before that since I think they want to get the Squad Cup finished first.
We usually get patch notes around 10 days before the patch (usually friday before the patch drops on tuesday 11 days later), so this would mean patch notes this friday if the patch is on course for November 5th. |

New info for patch notes
- Daily bonus is now hourly bonus to further mask the number of players actually playing the game
- Academy matches are now 6v6 to account for number of new players trying the game out
- Fixed bug that gave players hope that new patches would be relevant
- New AUR suits added that nobody will buy |

Because we are getting monthly updates, we end up getting updates full of nothing and updates of half-finished crap that hit the deadline. At least we know how long to not play the game until we get real content updates. |

Following the update trends, 1.7 will be just as disappointing as the rest.
Following the update trends for EVE. All the updates for a few years will be pretty disappointing. Thegame might take off after the first 2-4 years of development. It will probobly die off at some point between now and then. Then, hopefully, be resurrected with a really nice update *if they continue to develop it for that long*.
Who knows. mabye the EVE community will keep this game alive for a while once the rest of the playerbase dies.
I'm might be proven wrong *I hope I am", but i don't see it happening.
Expect the game to stay the same for a while. |
