It would be really nice if there were a way to zoom-in the mini-radar.It's really frustrating, particularly when using a knife, to not clearly see where the enemy is when they are 0.5 meters away.
On a related note: I find myself accidentally hitting the right-stick R3, and so blowing my knife charge accidentally. Is there a way to just DISABLE melee? Either in configs, or maybe it should even be default disabled when you have knives equippped? After all , what idiot would try to punch the other guy, when you are already holding knives???
(my personal preference would be a way to disable melee entirely. I hate it in pretty much all situations, it's messed up my firing soooo many times.) |

I have one thing that's bugging the hell out of me (And then 2 less important points): If someone is 0.5 meters away, and your marker and his/her marker are getting mixed up, then can you not look in front of you to see where they are? The eye's are the most effective tool in this game, after all.
Second thing: Melee's should be able to be disabled, but note that meleeing with knives often results in a victory where there could have been a loss. Many times, I've been in a CQC fight, and as a panic button I hit R3 and manage to kill the guy.
Also, if you're in the middle of a fight where you need to melee with Nova Knives, you're probably not doing it right.

Use Knives as the primary, when you get spotted pull out the Assault Rifle and melt some faces. |

Spoken like someone who has never engaged in a knife fight.

I've been in plenty of Knife fights. I have the ADV knives, so I've obviously been in enough to know that I need ADV or higher. I also know that 70% of the time, I see who I'm aiming to kill, and I get the job done, most of the time. |

If you "see them, and get the job done", ie: kill them with one, maybe two slashes before they know you're there... that is not a "knife fight". That's merely assassination.
A "knife fight" is two people circling around each other trying to slash/melee the other person. Only idiots will just stand in front of you letting you slash them, after they know you're there. So as I said, in this situation, they are rarely in your field of view. Hence the need for clearer radar. Life and death depends on whether that fuzzy red blob is actually on your RIGHT, or on your LEFT. (or worse yet, behind you) |

This is an issue with all really CQC.
The field of view is rather small and our helmets are locked onto our shoulders such that we can't look around. Top it off with a lack of audio cues and the red dot may be at your right shoulder and you have no clue.
You spin your entire body left, now he's behind you but he's also facing away so he has no clue. You both jump and spin around until one of you spots the other, then it's all over. |

Yes exactly. Its just that normally, only knife fighters run into the issue on a regular, frequent basis.
