Assuming there won't be a partial (or full) respec given along with the release of the remaining racial scout suits, I think it'd be fitting for CCP to give us a general idea of what the Amarr and Caldari suits will focus on, so we have time to save accordingly for both suits or only one, or specialize in other areas to complement the new roles, etc. Precise stats aren't necessary; only the intended function of each suit. It's easy to speculate that the Caldari scout will give some bonus to sniper rifles (given their ships in EVE also being snipers), but I have no idea what to expect from the Amarr design; slower with a bit more armor and fewer slots would be fatal for a scout, so it must be something else...
I realize asking directly like this probably won't elicit a response, but I think the dedicated scouts of the Dark Side (Caldari, Amarr) have earned the gift of a little foreknowledge with their extreme patience. Having to wear the Gallente suit all these months is debasing to my spirit; not to mention how it incites the weak hearts of men to wanton lubricity upon seeing its overtly gynoid rotundity. Ugh! |

Nah, all the EVE races are evil because mankind is inherently evil. Caldari/Amarr are more ostensibly evil by current anti-religious, pro-freedom standards. That said, I respect the Caldari/Amarr more because they're disciplined; the Gallente are too self-indulgent for my tastes, and the Matar were useless victims for too long. Not to mention what a laughable concept it is for any tribal society to become spacefarers in the first place.
Also, Amarr artistic design is to die for. And kill for. |

Wanting respecs for racial suits is fine, but wanting a respec because they're changing everything about vehicles is unreasonable.
Members of these forums live double standards.
Where did I say respecs should be exclusive to suits? This is completely off topic, but since you brought it up...
Logic dictates that since CCP forced players to choose from an artificially limited racial selection of suits/tanks/whatever for months (will probably be a year when it's all sorted out) after release, the onus is on CCP to give that freedom of choice back, when the time comes, in the form of refunded SP.
I also don't have a problem with partial respecs given during major rebalancing, since, again, the changes are coming without the players' consent. Therefore, the usual anti-respec argument of "you made your choice, live with it" doesn't apply. |

Amarr will have the 2nd highest shields and the highest ehp.
Caldari will have the highest shields and I have no idea how they will balance it. If it's got 3 or 4 highs it will able to get 300 shields that recharge in under 5 seconds without mods. Can't wait to try and kill it :)
I think the Caldari having only one low slot on the Proto would be balancing enough; I just hope the Adv has 2 low like the Gallente, otherwise I'll feel a bit lost as to how to fit one properly.
I'm still of the opinion that having the highest combined HP isn't enough of a draw for the Amarr scout suit; it's going to need something unexpected, unusual, to make me interested (1HP/S armor repair, plus extra stamina, plus base speed equal to Caldari/Gallente suits, and a balanced High/Low layout, maybe at the cost of the sidearm or grenade slot, or something).

Spkr4theDead wrote: You can't let your SP build during that time so you can go straight PRO? We're missing two racial HAVs, as well as some turrets, and you don't see half the amount of tankers complaining about that compared to infantry.
Still not quite sure why you're picking this particular thread to complain in; what I originally asked for was reasonable and not directed against anyone or anything.
Also not sure what you're implying about letting SP build up; you're saying I should play light frame militia for ~8 months after release, until my racial suit becomes available? I don't think anyone would do that, or should be expected to.
How is missing two HAVs that much worse than scouts missing two suits, and heavies missing three? I'd say we're all pretty much in the same boat here; no need to start a pissing contest over who's got what worse. If infantry ends up getting a partial respec, then tankers will likely get one too; if no one gets a respec, then we're all screwed by varying degrees. |

Yet they rather quickly replied to the "CCP Rattati" thread, which was meaningless from the start. Odd what warrants a response.

I predicted the most probable slot layout and speed of the remaing scout racial variants. I also asked for an extra slot because the ones that would be released would suck pretty bad.
Regardless I do hope they tell us soon. I wanted to go amarr scout but unfortunately I am stuck wearing the fake "freedom" the damn Gallente believe in.
Amarr scout cannot, in my mind, be slower than Gallente/Caldari. Slower as an assault or logi is one thing, but speed is one of the few advantages a scout has, and therefore cannot under any circumstances be sacrificed (unless the player chooses to by mounting plates, which give a hell of a lot more HP than the "free" amount you get by being Amarr).
Amarr scout also cannot lose a H/L slot. I'd be willing to give up a sidearm or grenade slot, or both (since I often go without them anyway because of fitting limitations), if the suit is given significant advantages in other areas, but losing a high or low is insufferable.
For the record, I don't think they'll add a slot to the scouts, as it'd require changing the CPU/PG as well. I have a feeling that they intend to keep the scouts as-is until they unveil some brilliant new module that will change the use of the suit entirely. If it's anything like EVE, that'd mean a stealth unit that only consumes 10 CPU and 5 PG on scout suits, but 100 CPU and 50 PG on other suits (or something). |
