i dont know that there is a bigger lore breaker in this game. gallente are armor tanks, close range, high damage blaster tech and drone specialty with sensor damps for ewar.
so how in Gods name could any gallente weaponry be able to hit from that far? it breaks the lore into tiny, tiny pieces. u have to fix this CCP. Gallente rifle range was fine at 50m. Caldari Gauss rifle going to be worse than the tac ar at this rate!!! |

They care going to adjust the ranges of all gallente rifles a bit.

i've got a worse one. minmatar smg has more range now than minmatar HMG now. ROFLMAO

I cried a little looking at how fast breach AR damage gets shot down so fast compared to the other ARs, I guess thats the future of Gallente weaponry, I just hope it does more damage at that range than AR's currently do from farther away. |

CCP said that the current ranges of the Gallente ARs are just a placeholders, the weapon will be reworked when we get the other racial variants:
-Gallente AR: Close range
-Minmatar Combat Rifle: Close-Medium range
-Amarr Scrambler Rifle: Medium range
-Caldari Rail Rifle: Long range |

So instead of doing 7.4 damage per shot at 100m they do 10.4 (Duvolle 3x complex damage mods with lvl 5 ar prof). If people die by the AR at that range they die by tickle torture. |

By that range the AR is doing around 5-11 DMG per shot.
Sounds like you just had low health.
But people cry about anything that kills them so carry on. |

The problem with that is the constant redoing of the core aspects of weaponry isnt good. More players have left the game as a result of the constant push & pull of how weapons, vehicles and equipment operate than anything. Players are getting used to the way the GEK operates right now as we speak, they dont come to the forums or know anything about racial differences or placeholders. All they'll know is that the weapon theyre comfortable with just had its range cut in half.
constant reworking is fail. give players weapons that operate as close as possible to how they are intended to work. allow players to get used to them or continue to see people leave. |
