Could we get a few new game modes pretty soon.. i love domination ambush and skirmish like everyone else but i feel like if you add a few more basic game modes it would help players keep playing without it feeling like grinding. I feel it would be easy to add (with the game mechanics already in the game) a few types.
-CTF- (call it information stealing or something futuristic :p) One terminal on each side of the map in different outposts, possibly the ground spawns of skirmish. You have to "capture" at one side then get back to your side and "deliver" the information to your terminal to be sent to the buyer of the information. So the game doesn't last forever after 20minutes clones have run dry on the district and players cant spawn anymore after death. 5 minutes later if no one has captured its a draw, first to 3 wins. (i want this cuz i love being sneaky and running around like i can do something by myself in a scout suit, but this games game modes hinder that greatly) Also the scan profile of the person that has the "flag" is raised 50% to keep them from being all ninja all the time. No multiple flag carriers, and last if the enemy has your information "flag" you can send the code still but takes 200% longer at the sending terminal
-king of the hill- This ones simple, sorta. one of the outposts is active (works better on 3 point maps/close area maps.) and can be captured but will overheat because they are these new prototype anti ship null cannons, so after dealing 25% of the other mcc's health (shields or armor, 25% each time so a team has to hold the point 8 times) it overheats and activates at a different outpost. This type would be great for those times when you want a bloody and death filled match because you had a bad day :p. Lastly to keep one side from overwhelming and just keeping each null cannon and winning, the null cannons heat given off hurts all players near it each time it fires, dealing 1000 (dispersing as it goes out) over heat damage (mostly to hurt defenders/attackers shields and armor a little and spice things up, also will help the amar heavy whos passive is useless atm -.-) at 40 m every minute till it over heats (losing 10% of its power every meter to not insta kill people 40m away)
-PVE, sorta- Well we all know making a first person shooter pve is difficult, either they are too easy and super stupid its dumb and boring. Or on the other extreme they are super op mega bots that insta head shot and 360 insta kill people without even turning their head or gun. Well, i think what we really want is a little bit of an easier time and a not so strait forward enemy.. Its sorta daunting in pvp knowing, those guys are here to kill me, well what if we had 3 teams.. just hear me out for a second. Two teams of 12, to let 2 squads in if they happen to have that, and a third squad of 12 players (to not stress the game even further, it lags with just 32). The first two teams fight like normal in skirmish, but the third team is the neutral guys, they spawn in a key location thats relatively neutral to both sides but necessary to get to each other. like the tabletop on the map with 4 points, c on abc map, (never bothered to learn the map names) and a on the bridge map. -Of course people will complain the neutral side gets stomped.. but you can make it so the neutral guys kills and deaths dont effect their scores, or win loss ratio, but as a bonus to them and incentive to be the neutral guys you get 50% more sp accrual even if capped (up to 2k when capped no booster) and 100% more isk from the match, because you will probably die more, as your spawn area is in between both sides. Some might say you will lose points because you cant cap, wrong. When you cap an enemies point it becomes neutral doing no damage to either mcc, and all neutral turrets and supply depots and cru's are yours to use :D.
Please guys tell me if you like my ideas, i know they would need work and time to get out if ccp did like them (they never like anything) but im really getting bored with the game, only being able to do 3 things.. that are pretty much the same thing too just different how you spawn and where you go to bunker down/attack.. We can still save this game, i love this game and it sucks when people say its dying, sorry for wall of text post btw :p gl guys in your games. |

There's been alot of posts on this lately, and I agree more game modes would be great.
PVE - Supposedly on it's way. Although CCP currently has bigger fish to fry, so don't expect it anytime soon.
CTF - Would be awesome! Hope CCP adds this.
King of the Hill - ... You mean domination? That's already in the game. And nobody is gonna get behind having the NC team-kill it's owners.
Other than CTF, the only game mode I'd like to see is a 6v6, interior-only squad battle.

no i don't mean domination, most king of the hill games move the hill so people cant just sit at one location the whole game, i mean moving point, like every 5 min the domination point gets moved so everyone has to rat race to it XD. The ctf and king of the hill would help give scouts and heavy's a place to be where they arnt useless vs assaults and logi's. |
