I've seen far too many posts over the months of people who are confused about the 2% reload speed bonus on the Sentinel dropsuit.
The 2% reload speed from the Sentinel suit is a flat 2%. It's not 2% per level.
The skill reads as follows : +2% to Heavy weapon reload speed.
No "per level" attached to it.
Now you might think its an oversight by CCP in the description. But It is not. There is one other suit that has the same ****** bonus, the Caldari Assault suit, with it's respective Hybrid Weapon reload speed.
It might be hard to notice the difference between 2% and 10% reload speed on Light weapons since they reload quickly already, but on an HMG it's much easier.
HMG has 8 second reload speed. with the 25% bonus from the skills that brings it down to 6 seconds. Now if it was increased by another 10%, it would be 5.2 seconds. But time it yourself, it's not 5.2 seconds. The gun reloads just barely before it hits the 6 second mark.
So currently the Sentinel Suit is a giant piece of **** compared to all the other racial dropsuits, with a completely useless bonus (at least until the Heavy Laser comes out), and a sub par one.

Good on you for testing it. But what rank is your Sentinel skill? Did you get it to V? |

I made a sentinel alt a while back. When I got enough SP to level the suit to V, the game asked why? |

Yeah. A warning dialogue should pop up every time you attempt to spend SP on the thing...
The only reason I asked about the rank is because I wanted to make sure he didn't only buy one level of it assuming Amarr Basic Heavy skill transferred over to give you +10% reload from your first point.
That's what I first thought when I read the skill description, but it wasn't the case. Just wanted to make sure the OP tested deeper than that. |

hahaha, indeed.
and aye, I tested it back in the day with lvl 5 Sentinel, and HMG reload skill. I made good use of the optional respec and decided to be dedicated AV and use the suit that could take 2 complex damage mods. I'm sure I'll reskill into the Sentinel once the Heavy Laser comes out, since I've been waiting for that gun for a year...
But after seeing another thread today with people posting about how awesome the 10% reload speed is, i figured i would attempt to let it be known. |
