If i hack a turret i use it and will stick with it and gaurd it the anount of kills u get from. Sticking to a turret in a prime locaton is great granted this is not always the case. As
all good players distroy them probly 25-30% of my kills are from using defending a turret

It could have been just the LAV and not anything to do with turret. I was driving around once and it exploded for no reason. Now I think about it it happens all the time. |

mmmmm I'll concede that they should shoot center mass if they are not already, but turrets really are where they should be, a threat but only if you are not paying attention.
