Shouldn-¦t deaths in DUST 514 make you loose points also. Points in the game represents how much your character has assisted the team, correct?
Well as a sniper I often get 15/0 kills/deaths. In this way I also help my team keeping our clones more intact and not wasting them. It feels a bit punishing to be a sniper in the game just because of this, because I don-¦t often capture null-cannons a lot either etc.
I would suggest a loss of -10 or -15 points for every death. And offcourse, if you-¦re revived you loose no points. ;)
I also think there should be WP for killing enemies close to your null cannon, like defense WP. |

Actually I-¦m a quite mobile sniper. Nothing feels better than blowing you to DUST :P
But seriously, to lose clones, damages the team. |

So am I. I-¦m doing well in my games. Though it-¦s still no logic in why a player with 20/15 should get the same WP as a player with 20/0. =/
Just saying.

While you do have a point, this would cause too many people to ***** out and just snipe all day long. Also, reducing WP payout by punishing deaths results in lower SP being given. You die a lot when you start the game, cutting into the crucial beginning SP that players absolutely need is unacceptable. It would have to be implemented in another way besides cutting WP. My CEO doesn't always go positive k/d wise and that's because he runs around hacking objectives and actually DOING things. Punishing this by telling him he need to be a sniper (because that's essentially what you're doing) basically destroys the entire game design.

That ratio that your getting now , won't last too much longer , please believe me and when it starts to drop you will look back at this ideal and say , " Woe , I'm glad they didn't listen to that." Trust me. Enjoy it now while it lasts. Now I will be looking to put a bullet right threw your head to help bring it down. I will remember you.
P.s. and if you look , it's the people who die the most that sometimes have the most WP's. I think ( don't quote me ) that it has something to do with your " action " and how you play in a match and if your willing to put yourself in harms way. It also has a lot to do with the fact that , if your on the ground you see a lot more and can do a lot more as opposed to camping in one spot all match. You don't get to destroy any equipment or hack or blow up anything so your pretty limited. Take this from a sniper. |

Well it is solveable if no penalties are given, but increased kill WP score depending on your difference value between kills and deaths.

Because you still died. I know it's crazy but what's more crazy is the fact the people do it for the points. They should ask you before you go back in , if you would like to continue with the revival. Yes or NO ???? I was playing 10 /19 / 2013 and two times I was revived only to get cut RIGHT DOWN in a matter of seconds. It's stupid. It wasn't for the help , clearly it was for the points.
That's another thing they should work on. REALLY !!!!!! |

Are you kidding me???? I had five hundred kills before I died fifty times. All by sniper shots and I wasn't camping. I'M A SNIPER and plan on being one of the best and TANK DRIVER as well. It's what I do. |

Bad idea, case closed. This it the fourth time you've used me as an example. But even in my games where I don't go positive, I am usually in the top 3 players. Unless, of course, I am not.
While this 'benefits' (and I use quotes because not having a negative applied isn't the same as having a benefit applied) people who mostly just kill, it would harm the people who mainly play objectives, such as myself, as they tend to die more.
However, giving extra money for clone efficiency (high WP/death) at the end of a match might serve as a nice little bonus. Perhaps a small penalty could be applied to ISK earned, though it would need to be relatively small (around 10k ISK). Another solution would be to add in the price of clones, deducted from earnings at the end of a match, but this might be a poor option for new players who have a hard enough time earning ISK as is. |

There are not many games where a player can finish a match with zero deaths or similar unless they are very very very good and lucky or they are camping. Dust is different, but you can't penalize people for dieing. A sniper to be useful, need to do 25+ kills and a lot of assists, other classes do all the rest of job that is more risky (in term of deaths) and helps to win a match. Old manus peak was the only map where a full sniper team had any chance to win a match. |

This would encourage ppl to take less risks, like be a redzone sniper, drop a droplink somewhere and hide. We need cannon fodder to push objectives. Not everyone rolls with squads. |
