If they do these changes and they work properly without screwing half* of the players over then great but im not expecting it

I would understand it if we had a market, but it'd be nice if we could keep them until the market arrives because otherwise FW players simply have no income.

Without a market it'll be a game mode that takes but does not give anything. Unless I can buy a fully fit suit for 5 LP this mode is going to be brutal for anyone without hundreds of millions until the market is introduced. Personally the idea of grinding pub matches just so you can compete in FW seems a bit silly. Maybe at first this should be something you do, like PC. Grind away to save up money, but after a certain point your actions on the battlefield should be rewarded and there should be a point where you profit.

Even I, a dedicated Scrambler Rifle (and occasionally Forge Gun ) user, even I will not be fighting for the Amarr just for the FOTM rewards.

They can remove it then. Even at that, you will have to get some pubs in to maintain your isk balance. 50% payout is still a sizable isk sink. CCP, please tell me again why player to player Contracts aren't in game yet? Hell, even a Merc to Merc market. If you are so afraid of the potential crashing of the Eve market, you can add that later. Let us decide how much stuff is worth, then you'll have your metric on the tax rate to apply to the Eve to Dust isk transfer. ****, it's not rocket science.

I know its on the horizon but I'm really liking that CCP is moving forward with making the clear distinction between FW and public contracts! I wonder though how the LPs will work and how it will affect gameplay. I do like getting my ISK for the FW contracts. I don't want to just get LPs and see that a day's worth of FW playing does nothing to bolster my wallet for other ISK means. But I guess they will elaborate on this as they discuss it in their War room. But all in all...I like where this is going. State PeaceKeepers all the way!! It's not necessarily about releasing new stuff here. It's about a game mode that doesn't allow for the vast majority of the players to even break even. Perhaps this would have been possible 10 months ago before we chose our skill paths. If it's released the way they are discussing you have a game mode that you have to grind ISK in pubs to afford while grinding SP to build a racial fitting that is sustainable economically. I don't think this is something people will be willing to do for long. Perhaps if it were team deploy where a corporation could help fund players through PC earnings, but there are only a few corps able to do this. As others have said there is a small percentage of players with the wallets that could support this game mode. Do we have player numbers to support this? I don't believe so.
