Exactly what it sounds like...it compensates for lag between players in different countries. So EU players can play with US players (for example), in a competitive way. But.. is very **** at the moment, it seems to be overcompensating. |

Yah, the lag has been pretty bad lately.
Like really bad to the point I'm not hitting guys standing still when I snipe. Then they suddenly jig forward after I shoot. It happened to me in three games yesterday.

Looking at the rosters before a US game and seeing any aussie, pacrim, or euro squads on the other team generally means you will be experiencing enemies who can put a dozen rounds in you simultaneously before you finish coming around the corner.
It seems like there's a delay of 80-100 ms to give foreign players a "fair" chance to react to low-latency players. CCP has yet to tell us how they have implemented lash compensation, so it remains a mystery. What is apparent is that foreign players with good connections get a significant advantage whereas local players with poor connections receive no such benefit. |

Lag is one of great issue here, i still dont get why i should chose region, if i have STILL horendous lag. Basicaly who is from asia/japan is king right now, what is really meh.. |

That is the overcompensation i talking about ... I play in the EU server but someone from Asia can kill me nearly in a couple of shoots, and my hits didn't register. If i was a paranoid person i will say that the Asian players are getting some favoritism from CCP. Except for the fact that that seems to happen with South American players too. |

Corps from SA get it a bit, asia is BAD.
HOWEVER, it goes both ways. Try some asia servers and laugh at how OP you feel. CQC scouting is so laughably easy that I feel bad about myself afterwards. |

I haven't try, but yes i imagine it works both ways... at first i thought it was lag switching, like a lot of other people. But then i realize that was the lag compensation when i decided to play only in my Region Server, it becomes very obvious then.

yeah i jumped into a few games just recently and the lag was so ****** that i ragequitted....it sucks even more when you're a minmatar shotgun scout like me....a ****** up main weapon that deals 0 dmg half the time (i thought ccp fixed that?!) and a thin **** suit which dies to every cotton ball throwed at it -_-" |
