The heavy thuds of the HAVs gun, suppressing, igniting, destroying, obliterating the battlefield, tearing and shearing through flesh and metal with indiscriminate firepower, seeing all in its path as play things...and dead things.
"Take cover-" one of the potent shells ravage through the squad leaders head, tearing through the side of the neck and the whole left side of the body. The squad leader gags through the microphone, blood filling his helmet and spilling onto the ground below.
"Caeser's down, Powells, you're in command till he gets back!" Says a lower squad member.
Powell assess the situation from his sniper's den, amongst the safety behind far cover as he scopes the tank and his squad mates. The failure to cover their attack has made him grit his teeth, god dam HAV bastards....
"Alright, Cramer, I need you to make a run to the left towards what was Caeser, distract that HAV with your scrambler rifle and some 'nades, just look even more stupid than you actually are."
"Ye-...yes sir." says Cramer, cursing Powell under his breath while the two other squad mates, chuckle slightly and return focus to the tank at hand.
"Yaeger and the new-guy, while the HAV is distracted, use your AV 'nades and the swarm launcher, on my mark" he says as he positions his sniper rifle to take out an incoming assault soldier, he bites his tongue, and takes the shot, barreling down the soldier in the forehead, "Mark!"
Cramer, makes a run to Caeser, his scout suit traversing the large distance between the two as the HAV's bullets pellet and ignite the ground behind him, catching up to him. He then makes a daring slide on his left leg, barely dodging the last bullets as he reaches his cover, alive. The rest then unleash their weapons on the HAV, tossing AVs and launching devastating explosions at the tank, resulting in it's quick and efficient fiery demise.
"Nice work, great slide Cramer," Says Powell, "Now, let's work on that dropship 1000 yards down from objective A."
I would really ******* like to be Cramer....just saying, CCP had a early Dust 514 trailer where a soldier does a power slide and I'd really like to do that. Maybe not for every suit, but a small slide for the medium would be nice, and for the scout, a long nice slide with lots of speed! :D
