Basically the purpose of this suggestion is simply to indicated something about the event we have been having recently, compared to the ones we used to have.
Recent events have so far taken the form of "not so special" battles. Basically we go out and do what we always do for a week and we either get 3x SP, SP bonuses, and or a small number of pretty generic rewards. These come pretty often and while altogether relatively boring, they do bring in reasons to play.
But.... and a big one here.
The older events were much better than these current ones. CCP, you tied in the lore of New Eden to dust and made the special event battles have context within New Eden. Not just that you gave out special rewards for them like the Black Eagles Scout suit, Quafe Suits, etc.
This all culminated with the Battle for Caldari Prime. A battle where you established a space battle, hundreds of ground battles for mercenaries, and crashed a Titan into the planet for us, showing us for the first time that we were a part of the New Eden universe. Not only this but you said to us the ground war would be decided by whichever faction we supported won the most battles...
And so the Caldari did.
...Now I don't expect you to crash Titans into more planets for our enjoyment, but having EVE based events tie into our universe is something I would like to see more of.
The recent EVE news articles about the Amarrian call for a Reclaiming.... could those lead to a tense stand off on a contested world? Would mercenaries be hired by the empires, or some other malevolent factions to cause mischief?
News articles about the Manhunt for Heth even. Battles between the Templis Dragonaurs and the State Protectorate, or the FDU and Dragonaurs, with the winner keeping control of Heth....
These are the sorts of things that you can easily tack on more specialised and interesting reskinned/stated content on for us mercenaries to fight over. Combining 3x SP events into these types of events would also be amazing.
Basically what I would like to suggest is that when next you consider and event for Dust please consider tying us in to our universe and giving us a chance to shape that universe. |

Yes. Plas 1. I miss the caldari event, crash an abaddon on a minmatar planet as consequence of minmatar not liking their missionaries. |

Would easily be likely that the Bloody Hand of Matar could indeed bomb an Ark in response to on going talks in the Empire about launching another Reclaiming. An Amarrian group on behalf of the Empire responds by claiming some Matari city. And a fight between the Bloody Hand and some Amarrian group. |

3x SP weekends are good, but couldn't they at least write up why we get this 3xSP. |
