Super cheap and throw away like they are currently planned or Expensive but hard to take down requiring a team (2 to 3 guys). this is for PC. I dont give one rats azz about pub matches.
so below, type in either Expensive or Cheap. (expensive i mean like 5 million for a full proto)

ISK CHEAP.
That way tankers no longer have to OCD about keeping a tank alive to make a profit.
Plus its more fun for tankers just getting kills without the large cost.
On the flipside more tanks on the field means more reasons to run AV.

But with 10 WP awarded for every 1000 points damage done to them, so that AV does not end up feeling ineffective, and so that there is some reward for simply driving the tank off. You donGÇÖt have to kill a tank to reduce itGÇÖs impact on the battle after all. |

I understand this, 1000 points is not that much really. I make tankers butt pucker with my breach fg in pc matches which the smart ones duck for cover. AV that forces a tank to cover is being effective my friend.. |

Expensive. Making cheap tanks would just make it so if they had a well equipped av player, they would just keep blowing up tanks before they could even make a mark on the field. Also would be a pain having to spawn far away to get another tank and I hate dying. |

I say skill intensive but affordable.
Spam them but they are no good without the skills. The sp sink would be enough for most people not to use them.
Also, something I wish EVE would do as well as DUST is create an sp limit. There is no reason to have chars that are so ungodly skilled in so many things. A bit of plausibility to present day concepts would be appreciated. That would also prevent spam of things like tanks from everybody training an alt or speccing into tanks over time. |

Cy makes a good point. If the tanks are cheap and disposable no one will run tanks because they are easier to kill than Infantry. When I bring out my proto swarm launcher the other team quickly stops running LAVGÇÖs, unless they have Logi LAVGÇÖs, because their life expectancy in a militia LAV is lower than if they were on foot. |

to make them cheap would fix the problem about making a profit, however it wouldn't solve the problem of survivability.
to make them expensive and worth that cost would solve the survivability problem however, it would also make it nearly impossible to make a profit..
