Do any of you use shield regulators? If you do, how low have you gotten your recharge delay down on your day-t0-day suit and how useful is it over just stacking armor in your low slots?

Idk about others Cosgar but since 1.4 I've stacked armor instead of regulators. |

I used to use them, but I stack plates now.
But I'm transitioning away from that suit. Amarr Logi suit FTW |

Its not... Complex Shield reg is 35 CPU and basic armor plate is 10 CPU.
If you recall, cal logis recieved a substanital CPU nerf in 1.3, making fits that require equipment and shield regulators almost impossible.
Also, buffer > everything with 1.4 aim assist. |

I used to use only one shield reg. More than one looked useless to me because It'd better to Armor tank a little (actually not that little) |

I use them - don't know exactly the difference, but if you play as a true logistics merc, meaning your role is more support and rescue than head to head fighting, they're lifesavers. I can support a pair of heavies to hold an objective against pretty substantial odds. If I get hit, I duck back, but the armor repair with the suit, and the quick shield regeneration means that as long as I'm not on my own, I can be a serious tide turner. I pride myself on WP with a low k/d. My record at present is 2400 WP with a 2/1 k/d. |

Regulators are a pain to fit so most of us don't bother that being said with a Complex shield regulator and lv5 cal logi skill our shield recharge delay is reduced by about 50%. I fit one for that alone. The faster my shields are back up the faster I'm back to dropping ammo and picking bleeding mercs up off the floor.
More than one regulator is just redundant. |
