This was a post by me on a anotherthread, but t e OP renmed it so nobody would click it. I still liked myanswer, so i'll repost: "What were your first reactions toeach specialization, and if you could change anything, what would it be?"
Basic frame mediums should get 2 equipments at std. The basic frame is your definition of a logissault, not as good a logi as said logi, nor better an assault than an assault.
Scout frames should get 2 equipments, basics have 1. Scouts should be the paper thin all seeing eye. Their unmatched passive scan allows vision no other suit can handle, and it comes with speed to handle nova knife assassinations.
Sentinel frames should be the absolute tankiest suits in the game. Imagine them as an assault from 'mechwarrior'
Logistics frames should be dedicated versions, with 2 variations. The current logi which has a light weapon, and another which is faster, has another equipment slot, but loses its light slot for a sidearm. It would be named the xk.1
Commandos (imo) should be tanky light frames, but nowhere near the med frame. Imagine the black eagle dropsuit, but instead of faux ar for sidearm, it has a legit light slot.
Pilot frames would be a heavy frame, but super less tanky. Imagine a commando with 200/200. Runs perfectly in the middle between heavy and medium, id say around 6.3 sprint. Their heavy musculature would be filled with vehicle for dummies books and extra flash drives to increase its vehicles abilities. |

1: The whole II/B/.1 series suits is gone. NO need to complicate balance further and bring them back.
2: It makes no sense for a pilot to wear heavy armor inside of a vehicle. It stays as a light frame. And that reasoning is not funny.
3: Yea, they should have made commando's as light frames, but heavies and mediums would complain that they only get 2 frames while light gets three (even though ones the same as the other basically). Not sure what else heavy frames could get though. Will have to think on it. |

The heavy can fit more than just armor yes? Imagine the miatar heavy suit as a light suit, but its so bogged down by interfacing equipment and reaction enhancers it's the size/speed somewhat of a heavy. Besides, all that does is switch pilot and commando, making both a little bit more usable. |

Far less chance of being sniped waiting for your vehicle to deploy
Far less chance of being shot out of your LAV |
