Right now in character setup, the faction you choose doesn't mean anything as you can simply skill into any other faction's suits and weapons. Therefore, I think bonuses should be given when you use suits and/or weapons that matches your character's faction. Of course, not every faction has weapons available currently but when there are weapons available for all factions, I would like to see this request implemented. |

Actually all factions currently have weapons, just none have the"complete set" yet.
Gallente: assault rifle, shotgun, plasma cannon Caldari: sniper rifle, swarm launcher. Amarr: laser rifle, scrambler rifle, scrambler pistol. Minmatar: mass driver, SMG, flaylock pistol.
That being said, the idea doesn't really make sense. There is no reason in the lore why our weapons or dropsuits would magically get better when we fight for the side that manufactured them. To give a real world example, an AK-74 doesn't become somehow better when being used to fight for Russia then when its being used to fight for some other country.
Bonuses to weapons should be based on environment; arctic blizzard environments should decrease the heat buildup of weapons with overheat (HMG, laser rifle, scrambler rifle), and lava environments should make those weapons overheat faster. |

There also needs to be the ability for one time faction change as I'm fully skilled into laser weaponry and Amarr suits, yet I'm Gallente. |

This suggestion wasn't for lore but to put some focus on your character's selected race. Right now, there is no focus on that. In fact when it came to the FW Challenge, many did not even know what faction their character was but were just fighting for the perks they wanted. If the majority of players do not care what faction they are or fight for, then what will be the point behind Faction Warfare if implemented to actually affect sovereignty? |

That should have been thought about by those who chose the characters to begin with. Most choose those that suit their personality ... no ???? If they didn't care and just do it for the perks, then it wouldn't matter much anyway. I like it when someone gives thought to what they do .... it shows they use there brains. |

Well, that's kind of the point of the Skill system.
It isn't designed to restrict you to anything except what you haven't skilled.
I think its fine.
Just Imagine if you had a enemy tank roll up, and you weren't Caldari.
