I'm quite new to Dust. (been playing a little over 1 week) I am amazed at the helpfulness show towards new players in the forums.
THANK YOU to all the oldies and veterans for making the start a little easier for us! |

I'm glad you met exclusively good people so far, these Forums are full of trolls and QQers as well, but don't let them get on your nerves (I thought I should have prepared you to this, lol) if you run into them.
Anyway, they are rare in this section of the Forums, most people here will be happy to help new players. When you ask for advice, you will always find someone willing to share his/her experiences.
Glad to hear you're enjoying the game! |

The Learning Coalition and Dust Uni are your best bets to find experienced help. Keep in mind that though D Uni is bigger, its mentors are not as experienced as the Learning Coalition, which has at least half of its mentors being salty people who got sick of PC. Hahaha. Having worked in both, I prefer the LC of DUni bc of the people. PLus, LC gives out free money from time to time. |

Trolls and QQ'ers are part and parcel of FPS communities. I had a guy whining about how he 'couldnt earn any warpoints' earlier in a match because the enemy team was all 'no life fags who play the game too much and are too good and its not fair waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah'. Logical fallacies and Cop-outs.
Just remember that its a game and not to get too worked up over it. I mean if you drive tanks and some blueberry refuses to get out or if someone steals your dropship , by all means go into team chat and yell at him, but otherwise try to stay relaxed and be aware of when to cut your losses in a match. |

Or just poor articulation
A mode where characters which are locked to only 500k SP are the only ones allowed in it would be interesting. Sometimes some of those players would be crap, once you take away all the bum on seat time they have over a newb. Aww, no thale? No Douvelle? QQ! |
