I've got some AUR left over from my BPO buying binge which I've decided to blow on learning how to crash into mountains at high speed. Just checking if there was any significant difference between the Caldari and Gallente options aside from whether I want to shield or armor tank? |

I find the Gallente ships are more noob-friendly as they're slower in general. Better for learning to fly.
Caldari ships have better landing gear and generally will be hardle to topple onto their sides when deployed by RDV. I personally started flying in Caldari ships because I thought they looked cooler, but I moved to Gallente and found they were much easier to handle at the cost of maneuverability, so I stuck to them.
If you want to crash into mountains at high speed I recommend purchasing the Caldari ships, fitting them with militia afterburners, joining GALLENTE FW, and flying those Caldari ships at max speeds at Caldari soldiers.
Note, however, that the thrusters on your dropship automatically align to the horizontal axis of your dropship when you tilt your nose downwards; this means dives are NOT negated by holding down the thrusters, just make sure they're aligned properly or usually you'll slow down your dives/overshoot your target.

Thanks for the advice, I've bought up 20 Caldari dropships to start me off :)
On a side note, is it possible to kamikaze other dropships and tanks, and if so do I get the kills? If I'm going to crash at high speeds, I may as well take someone with me... |
