I've talked with a customer support GM and he told me that with Uprising 1.5 they have reduces the quantity of officer weapons acquired in each battle, this are his words: ""As for the Thale, unfortunately there is no real strategy to acquiring them. All battles have a random amount of salvage given at the end of each battle. Since we released Uprising, we reduced the amount of salvage given out with certain items, so that rare officer class items like the Thale Sniper Rifle, are actually very rare nowadays. When I use Nova Knives I get forge guns.

When I use AR's I get Snipers.

When I use forge guns I get HMG's.

I just want to know what weapon I need to use to get Swarm Launchers :(

For a week. Then they'll nerf the market so you can't trade officer weapons. Except maybe ARs.

But by then CCP's campaign to phase out snipers will be complete.

pretty sure the salvage system is designed to give you stuff you can't use.

Whoever this GM was , he's taking crap, so what if they reduced the officer gear. If you specialise in sniper rifles the likelihood of you getting Thales is slim to none. You will however get lots of the other officer weapons that you dont use.

So to that GM - Why do you have it set that we more often salvage the gear that we just cannot use and never get what we skill into.
