I'm just going to get right into it and explain how this idea would work.
Right now the battle you get into is completely random. This makes it hard to get eve and dust side teams to work together and promote more eve-Dust connectivity. So instead I propose this option.
In the Battle finder window under Factional Warfare add a new option. Create Factional Warfare conflict. Just have both systems exist side by side. To use the Battle creator you have use up Loyalty points. *ahhhh yeah beating the dead horse* But only here is this system LP is only used for Creating new battles in FW.
So to earn LP you just need to take part in battles. You Earn LP per faction you fight for. And an all time 1st in Dust history, only the winning side gets rewarded loyalty points! Loyalty points will be tradable as the cost of starting a battle should be high enough to prevent abuse but be something that happens constantly. It should take a solo player 16 wins to get enough LP to start a battle.
Only one squad may enter the Battle finder at once. *until CCP introduces the new system of mega squads lets keep this simple* When someone spends the LP to create battle they get to go through the star map system we already have in place and choose which planet to attack. The LP is spent and the squad enters the Warbarge at that planet.
Now they just wait until the Factional warfare Battle finder fills up the match. Also consider only letting squads enter Factional Warfare now that the squad finder is so handy.
So the point of this plan is to work within the current system. It shouldn't take too much work on CCPs part we shouldn't be rewriting the whole system AGAIN. To create some control over which planets are attacked within the system so eve players can coordinate FW orbitals. Allows at least one squad from the same corp attacking from space to be in the match. Keeps the Merc feeling of the current system where you are dropped in where ever they need you.

You should only ever get LP when you dedicated yourself to one factions efforts by signing up to that milita. |

Agreed. They should add this feature together with being able to sign up for only fighting for one side. When you leave you just lose access to those LP or do they get removed from the game? So if you rejoin after joining another Faction should you lose all your LP? |

Wow you are first to agree with me. I like that people want to be mercenaries, but FW is about loyalty to one faction, it would be rare for players to support two factions at the same time.
Either you sign your corp up or you sign up individually. |
