that you see here on these wonderful forums, I've actually been enjoying the game lately. In fact, as an average basic slayer, I think I can say with certainty that this has been the most fun I've had in this game that I can remember. It's hard for me to remember Chromosome clearly, but if we aren't back to that level of fun, we are damn close.
Granted, I'm not a pilot, nor a tanker, and I don't mess around with scout suits either. So I can't offer much opinion on those playstyles, but I do see lots of scouts and nearly every match has at least 1 tank, most have 2 or more. Dropships are a tad rarer, but I see them every time I'm in a Domination or Skirmish game.
Matches, for the most part, have been fairly well balanced. Every now and then I get stuck in a pubstomp, but the frequency has been much less lately. I've noticed that there are certain times that I'm not qualified to be playing. Friday nights (-8GMT here) and then again Saturday evenings are really tough on me. I see the quantity of proto gear increase, as well as more and more squads of much better players then myself on. If CCP can squelch the MM system of stacking squads on one side, and the apparent randoms on the other (mostly mine  ) then I think I'll see much less of it.
Anyway, it seems as if progress is slowly coming. I know many of you are unsatisfied, and probably rightly so, but hopefully we'll keep chugging away and gaining traction. I just wish I could quit these damn forums, I'd feel much better!  |

I've been having less and less fun lately, but that's because I'm trying to gather 1.5 bill SP without a booster. Oh, and the fact that it's the same thing per match. I only play skirmish or domination and who ever has more objectives than the opposite team right off the bat wins. It's nearly impossible to turn it around unless you're in a good squad.
I can't wait until the new content arrives. Literally. I might not even be anymore.
I had a blast when I first started playing in June, though (even if my skills have been used unwisely). |

From what i remember everyone here is saying chromesome was fun because these are the people who were able to go blindfolded into a match and pull 20 KDR's without trying because of the terrible balance. All everyone did was walk around and stomp in **** poor match making, because if you think stomping is bad right now, my god you don't remember chromesome... |

The game was always fun. The difference was simply CCP's unique way of acquiring community input. All other games which may not have seemed fun became fun through nostalgia, but with CCP keeping DUST in the present and constantly changing, we look back and see Chromosome through the same lens through which I view Skyrim months after I got bored of it; as a game that was pretty damn awesome. That's when I fall back into a month or two of hardcore Skyrim before getting bored of it again.
Here, though, if I leave DUST for the same amount of time it'll more than likely be radically different when I come back. We're good at adapting to change but we're better at sticking to routine; I reckon all the negativity is simply coming from the fact that everything's changing and our mortal minds can't grasp it quickly enough. Despite everything we appear to know and the unfair assumption that "CCP probably doesn't even play the game it's developing", they're making games and we're playing them for a reason. |

Pretty much all of the matches I've been in have been a pubstomp. Whether or not I am contributing to the stomp, or on the recieving end of a stomp is all up to Scotty (and he hates me).
Being a former Minmatar scout, well... it is not fun. Especially now that all of my builds are worthless.
Being a current Heavy... it is not nearly as fun as chromosome, and more often than not, rather frustrating. The HMG still fires blanks for me. And the Heavy suit? I frequently get downed in a few seconds, even when I supposedly have the upper hand.
But all of my Medium frame fits are fine and dandy, and pretty fun. Yay. Too bad I have 4 million of my 4.2 million SP invested in scouts and heavies (you know, the suits I WANTED to play as and have fun with). |

1.5 billion SP / (190,000 weekly active SP + 7 days a week * 24,000 daily passive SP) / 52 weeks in a year = 80.5 years. If you're lucky (enough to live that long), you'll be able to do that within one human lifetime!
With full active and passive Omega boosters, it's half the time, so 40 years and a bonus season.
So, how much will that cost you? First, the Omega passives, then the Omega actives.
Math wrote:1.5 billion SP / (380,000 boosted weekly passive SP / 7 days a week + 48,000 boosted active daily passive SP) / 30 day per booster = 489 (rounded up) Passive Omega boosters, which costs (489 * 60,000) -> 29,340,000 AUR.
1.5 billion SP / (380000 boosted weekly passive SP / 7 days a week + 48000 boosted active daily passive SP) / 7 day per booster = 2095 (rounded up) Active Omega boosters, which costs (2,095 * 17,500) -> 36,662,500 AUR.
Total AUR spent is 66,002,500 AUR. 66,002,500 AUR / 225,000 Aurum per pack * 200 dollars per pack = 58600 dollars. The remainder of 77500 AUR can be purchased like 43,000 + 21,000 + 10,000 + 4,000. That's another... 37 dollars.
TL;DR: It would cost 58,637 dollars in Omega boosters over 40 years and a season to gain 1.5 billion SP.
