Alright I have been reading these threads of weapons being over powered. Well this thread to final awnser all questions the community has about these very popular topics.
To start I see that lots of people are hating on the assault rifles right now, and well everyone disscusses this no one has yet given the awnser to why they seem "op" so here's your answer.
Yes I am an assault troop and no I'm not defending it because of such. So my fire goes like this;
Gallente G/1 series with 177 shield 411 Armour GEK 38 standard damage of 35.70 Submachine gun standard damage of 23.00 2 shield extenders 1 Armour rep 1 Armour plate Drop up links And locus grenade
Now does that sound op no not really but here's were everyone goes "Op,Op,Op"!!!
I have 17 million SP with 22k kills I have these points in these categorie;
6.6 mill in drop suit up grades 5.7 mill in weaponry 2.9 mill on drop suit command
Sounding op yet if not here's the trick and why they seem op
GEK 38 standard damage 35.70 mine 48-50 (BUT)! Lvl 5 proficiency lvl 5 rapid reload lvl 5 rifle ammo lvl 5 Shatpshooter lvl 3 fitting optimization "WOW"! That's nearly 4 million SP!!
Am I op no not really. Do I die yeah but hardly. But here's the next steps to being op.
KNOW YOUR ROLE! I'm assault witch means I'm fist line defense. Witch means first one in first one dead. Here's the trick though. KNOW YOUR surroundings! Alright scenario: I'm running up to combat and help my fellow clones but wait! I got a logi, heavy, and sniper on me what do I do
FIRST: Figure out where that sniper is and avoid his line of shot SECOND: Find the closes place to take cover so when I do engage in combats with the heave and logi I am a harder target to kill THIRD; Find out if the heavys weak enough to kill if not my main targets the logi, if I shoot the heavy the logis just going to rep him and there for be and ultimate and unstoppable death And lastly once I figure out if the heavys able to die and see that he is not and after I have killed the logi finish the fight by killin the heavy and go to my destination avoiding the sniper
So are we assaults op not really. We just don't run out yelling DIE DIE DIE!! But the most important key to our survival is WE SPECIALIZ! Use your heads not your guns there's a basic 4 step way in being op in tactics and hell now you all have my fit if the assaults are op duplicate it then you to can be OP.

The problem is that the AR fills the role of to many other weapons.
IMHO I base weapon balance on (mainly) what roles the weapon fills, and how well it fills said roles. |

Here's another tip on how to be "OP"
Sniper rifles need to lead their shot so zig zag and they'll miss
Mass drivers shoot in arches and use splash damage so jump on to a box or anything 2 feet high and there splash won't hit you leaving you unharmed and a kill higher
Heavy's shot fast but wild cover your self behind a rock or box and they'll only hit your head with bullets they can control witch means maybe 5or6 times
Assaults we burn our ammo out hell a fast so cover and wait 2 seconds and we need to reload kill us then because it takes 3 seconds to kill us and 4 to reload
Lasers I'm still working on those things are deadly
Shot guns have a small hit box so bunny jump they'll miss
There's more tips on being op but please stop trying to nurf everything and for once use your heads it's not call of duty people |

Yes but all wepons fill all roles if used correctly assault Rolf's hit fare but kick hella hard and have no damage at distance |

Now here's an awnser to your comment.
Assaults have unlimited range yes but we do little to no damage at 200 meters so we are only awesome at Cqc or close quarter combat
We tear through clips fast so we run out of ammo quickly
When in full auto we have a 4 foot kick so no accuracy full auto
We have to always support the front line to we never stop dyeing so the extra damage helps us a little
To do battle with proto suits can run us up 150k each death so we tend to go broke on 1 bad game
So as you see assaults don't fit all roles we have our flaws but no one wants to admire it with what I have explained here nor do players look at all aspects of being an assault only what they hate

I don't think anyone is seriously making the argument that assault suits or roles are OP just that Assault Rifles currently have a significant edge over other weapons, both light and heavy. |

But this is the thing everyone is complaining that the ar or assault is over powered and many posts have said they need to be nurses because they do a over kill of damage, accuracy, rang, and yes even clip size. There for I have made this post an I am awnsering all the untold and much needed awnsers to why assault or ar's or not op but just well used. For instance I can use a milita medic and go 34-6 so I say it's not the wepon nore suit but how people play and if ar's or assaults get hit then why not default fits. But if you wish to see fort hand on what I'm saying my character is just this DUST TAKE OVER we can squad and I will gladly show why I stand so strong on this like I said milita going 34-6 and no one says that those milita things are op or need reworking |
