Five or six times over the past three days while attempting to restock, I've received a message that I have reached the maximum number of market transactions allowed in a period of time and have been required to wait up to ~1 minute to finish restocking, which is an annoyance when you're running with a full squad who are ready to roll. Usually kicks in on the third fitting or item, but doesn't seem to occur consistently. Is this something new ninja'd into 1.5? Never saw it before this update. Has happened to two other people I know, as well. |

Nope, this has been around for a while. It's also present in EVE, but EVE is less likely to see it as they can't make lots of market orders very quickly like DUST can when restocking fittings.

It has to do with EVE's massive databases, Imagine having 40k people accessing it at the same time? So i believe they cache market information and then when it goes through there is some varifying process.
I think it can also depend what area of space your in but that could be me just misunderstanding.

Likely a bandwidth thing. CCP doesn't want to get DDoS'd by market orders, so they limit how fast you can make them. |

You should learn to restock more efficiently to avoid this. First grind some matches for high ISK using very cheap suits (militias). When you finish a match, select an item (not the whole fit, just the module) you with to restock and purchase as close to 50 units at a time without breaking your bank. Speaking of which, you should set a limit on how much ISK you should have in your wallet even after restocking. Rinse and repeat. Over time you will start seeing your stockpile grow to large amounts.
Thanks to this method, I was able to stock up on at least a hundred units per fitting. And I have about 5 fittings which means I have at least 500 total units. All while still maintaining at least 24 million ISK in the wallet. This way, you won't have to worry about restocking in the middle of a battlefield. |

Like the others said, it's throttling the number of market transactions so as to not make the server cry and fall over dead. CCP Logibro // EVE Universe Community Team // Distributor of Nanites // Patron Saint of Logistics
