First off notice everytime your killed like what the hell happen its by a assult rifle and in most cases its a Duvolle , But it is a prototype so we can expect it to have power that is considered to be out of this world. But i don't see how the Duvolle gun can kill a person with 400 armor and hp in like 1 second just by spraying and praying is it fair to other weapon category's that build up to the prototype level and there weapon cant get the same effect ?
Don't get me wrong the assault rifle in the advanced level can out mach any other weapons prototype seriously and that's without modules , They need to lower all the assault rifles alot to atleast match the other weapons . I have a heavy macine gun advanced level and i added enhanced damage module The MLR-A Burst Heavy Machine Gun to be exact And it doesnt clear a hp bar fast then the Gek assault rifle not to mention AR's Have 4 advanced weapons to choose from where to most others have way less .
I also snipe from time to time i have it about maxed stat's wise and i have used a charge rifle and a ishukine both with enhanced modules , Guess what............. I dont get one hit kills and thats a sniper rifle i should get a one jit kill with a damn sniper rifle i mean come on .
Now i do get headshots and seldom i get a one hit kill with the charge rifle but really if ccp where to apply the same rules to the other weapons like they do with the sniper rifle , Id be getting one hit kills with the advanced level sniper rifles which is just 2 while the AR advanced have 4 . Atleast make it to where a person gets one hit sniper kills when they hit the chest and have added damage modules its almost like they are trying for me not to have a sniper rifle that can one hit kill like the fuking DUVOLLE in comparison .
I know im gonna get alot of haters and real childish stupid remarks from people who didnt even finish reading the post , Cause all they had to see was AR's Over powered and they are gonna rush to defend there "hacking" weapon.
To end this ill also add that its been high time that the flaylock gets the seeker missle's ability added and it should be able to lock on to people , dropships and cars. And if not that Then boost up the blast radius the splash damage . its only fair and it is in the description. We didnt build the flaylock up to be left with a dud fail slow missile pistol that cant hit sh!t but a car or a still target .
And remember if you dont have nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all.
Thank You My Regards To those that agree
I know I usually complain about Assault Rifles, but nerfing the Assault Rifle's damage will make a lot of people swap to Scrambler Rifles, at which point "Assault Scrambler Rifles Are OP" threads will start popping up. I just want the other guns to become more specialized. The Assault Rifle feels good to use and is lethal at short to medium range. The problem is that there are only a handful of alternatives, which are not very good.
The HMG has laughable range, way too much dispersion beyond optimal and is a heavy weapon. The SMG is an Assault Rifle with a third of the range. Practically everyone packs one since it's a sidearm. The Scrambler has similar output but is worse against armor, can overheat a lot at lower tiers and requires a greater degree of accuracy. It's a decent alternative. Other weapons fall into different categories, most of which don't fulfill their role well. Mass Drivers have almost a quarter of the DPS if they rely on splash damage, which they have to unless the enemy is within CQC range and standing still. Plasma Cannons are similar, just in exchange for some more splash damage you only get a single shot. Laser Rifles have a myriad of issues to consider when using them, from overheat to reversed range requirements and the sharp drop off out of optimal range. Plus, the 50% increased damage against shields compared to armor. Most Sniper Rifles are hard to kill with unless you get a headshot, so most of the players using them just stand on a hill or tower somewhere hoping not to get counter-sniped.
Yeah. Maybe new rifle types will help. |

Yes i agree with alot of what you just said , just about all of it . I can see you actually pay attention to the players and the game as a whole and i respect your views. Noobs will be noobs and followers will be followers , That is why most people play with the AR's because instead of being " unique " and gaining skill in least used weapons they just use EASY ones smg and AR that really steals and cripples the experience of this game the DIVERSITY and uniqueness of the multi futuristic game play. Most people are afraid to invest time into the middle class or under classed weapons such as flaylock pistols as a prime example But me being a Ol School gamer i love the challenge but as things are i see nothing but AR smg and m1 grenades As like ........89% of EvE Dust 514 , And with all the Cool weapons and uniqe combat styles its such a waste to just see the same things over and over. Ya know one of the most memorable "kills" done to me was by this guy with a nova knife i didnt see or hear him behind me and no one was around , THAT is what gaming is about that randomness and unknown elements and situations .
I agree. Most players go straight for the Assault Rifles because they are easy to use, have among the highest DPS in the game and are cheap to fit in the beginning. Plus, there's the Burst and Tactical variants if you want higher range. I started off using Assault Rifles but swapped to Laser Rifles a while ago and haven't looked back. They are more situational but I have a lot more fun using them and I feel like I'm adding some variety and coverage to my team.

Seriously, they all only do 17 damage (something along those lines). All that's different is RPM.
You will only get an extra 1.7hp of damage, and that's assuming that you are running complex damage mods. Save that slot for some shield or armor plates if you are running an HMG.
I see this a lot. I'm guessing people just don't understand how multiplication works, but it does NOT matter how much damage each bullet does. Let's say you have a gun that deals 10 damage a bullet at 100 bullets a minute and another gun that deals 100 damage a bullet at 10 bullets a minute. According to you, the second would get a greater benefit from a Complex Damage Mod (10%) since it would be gaining 10 damage a bullet instead of 1. Let's calculate the damage per minute.
10 damage * 100 bullets * 1.1 mod = 1100 100 damage * 10 bullets * 1.1 mod = 1100
These are the same because multiplication is Commutative; it does not matter the order in which you perform the multiplication. The damage could be 1.1 and the rate of fire could be 100 and the mod could be 10 and it wouldn't matter.
1.1 damage * 100 bullets * 10 mod = 1100
To make this even easier to understand, expand the hundred.
10 * 10 * 10 * 1.1 = 1100
Does it matter which two tens came from the hundred? Does it matter which statement this was expanded from? Of course not. If numbers hurt your head, then think of it this way. Yes, you get one tenth the damage bonus per bullet. However, you fire ten times more bullets so the additional damage over time is the same.
So, please, can people stop saying multiplicative bonuses are magically worse on low damage, high rate of fire weapons? Thank you. |

I was not aware that you could melee someone from 40m away, or with a Tactical, 60m.
Better yet, if we're counting damage mods, a Duvolle with 3 Complex Damage Mods and proficiency is dealing closer to 650 damage a second. |
