Come on Sony, why didn't the PS4 go with this 1to1 movment, the steam controller uses... I could really see this bridging the gap between kb/m and DS3 users I'm a kb/m user for life and would really like to try this with a shooter like Dust!

Just watching the video makes my thumbs ache. It's a cool idea, but I think I like the analog sticks better.

I am willing to give it a shot. Yes track pads are less than ideal with my fingers... never really tried one with my thumbs though. |

I'm not sure if it will require Steam to run, but it's Legacy Mode is supposed to mimic a mouse+keyboard.
If it's USB and playable without driver downloads, it could theoretically be compatible with DUST on PS3 when using said mode.
All this is purely speculative based on Valve statements, however |

Steam Box will be literally a Gaming Universal PC .... you can't even call it a Console, because it isn't. |
