It's very good. Got at least 19 kills a game with little effort. This was in Amarr FW in an advanced Amarr logi. I run 2 complex damage mods and a basic recharger and I stack armor an have 2 compact nanohives. Any tips to using it? |

But the main thing to remember is to use the charged shot to always lead your volleys, especially at long range since it hits the enemy hard, panics them, and lets follow up volley kill faster.
Fire and Sweep advances work so well with a pair of ScR users. |

No where compared to the AR, it's really redic how over powered ARs are for the passed year with NO NERF
And yet every other gun has seen reduction. I'd like to see one good agreement on why ARs should not be nerfed |

that's what I'm going for.
I was using a militia suit with advanced SCR
then I unlocked basic amarr suit with 2 enhanced damage mods and even that was different.
But yeh one day Ill have enhanced armour plates, advanced amarr suit, complex damage mods and proto SCR.
I can imagine that thing absolutely annihilates people. |

Try the assault variant for medium/close range. The carthum is much more accurate than the advanced, but it's also a lot more expensive so try at your own risk.
It really does some serious damage with two complex damage mods and proficiency up there. I used to use the standard variant a lot but I stopped when 1.4 came out and increased the armor plates. Caldari players were no match for me, but now it seems like everyone runs plates in the low slots, which makes it even harder for scrambler users to take players down. |

That's why you always pack an assault smg as a sidearm. And I got the aurum carthum. Haven't lost it yet. |

The real advantage of the Scrambler rifle is Its CHARGED shot. Hitting an enemy with this is a guaranteed kill even if he survives he will be severly crippled, so i recommend you make good use of it.
If you are NOT going to use the charged shot, using a TAC AR is better for you. Almost same damage , more range , better long ranged scope and a LOT less CPU/PG usage.
I use ADV Amarrr Assault with ADV Scrambler rifle as a main fit next to my AR amarr Murderlogi. (i do have proto weapons i just, dont use them XD) ITs a good weapon,sadly the overheat mechanic deters you from fighting lots of enemies at a time, so proficient use of a Side arm is required. Just my opinion here.... |

If you want great kill potential, ditch the compact nanohives for an active scanner. You can set up your enemies better. The SCR doesn't waste a lot of ammo at all.
Always lead with a charge shots and set up your volley shots should you not get a OHK HS. Faster fire isn't nearly as important as bullet placement.
In CQC engagements, use your SCR to the point of overheat, then switch to your sidearm and finish him off. Switching to your sidearm and firing is only buying you your 6 seconds for your SCR to cooldown. Pull it out again if necessary.
Practice your aim and practice how far you can push the guns limits before it overheats (ammo count will instantly tell you).
Be sure to know who you can engage first and win against. Caldari will get destroyed. Engage them aggressively. Strafing scouts will have you back pedaling while hip firing to take them down. Otherwise, charge shot them if they aren't aware. Logis are similar to assaults. Basically, who sees who first has the better advantage and a win is the based on what gun each has.
Heavies....hehe...are a different story. Always ALWAYS lead with a charge shot, preferably to the head and keep hip firing until they are down. No need to ADS....your strafe speed isn't that much better than his (assuming you are armor tanked Amarr, like me) so just keep putting bullets in his head area. Hopefully, you'll hit a lucky HS.
It can be a fun gun when you get the hang of it. Just keep at it.

They seem pretty OP. Well, at least the Rail Rifle does. |
