More like annoying piece of crap that encourages some players to spend the whole match hiding
I just love seeing "You have been scanned" at the top of my screen for an entire match from some guy who never left the red line but still got WP since installations dont interfere with the scanners range at all
Even the red line snipers arent as annoying since they at least attempt to kill people even if its in an backward ass way |

Hell no.. that will be wasting the potential of the Scanner. I started using the Scanner as a Logi Tool, for team support and all that Crap, but then i realize the huge tactical advantage you get with it, specially as an Assault. Now... i'm addicted to it. |

I think that is what i trying to get too....I find the 100 meters one OP, i won't even think about using the 200 meters one, huge waste of SP as far as i'm consent. As a "hunter" i provably have enough with 25 meters. |

Naaah... they don't get any reward unless they have their squad mates killing you (just some WP in this case). And if I had a squad mate hiding 150m away (I think 150m is the limit with the Flux Scanner) with a scanner, I would kick his butt out of my team lol. |

Ill admit that the far off scanners are conditioning me to just ignore the notice that Ive been scanned since usually theres no enemy around to take advantage of it in a way that would catch me off guard so someone scanning from close by could get the drop on me |

To be honest I don't use them as much as I'd like to. Considering getting prototype Minny logistics just so I can fit it because I hate losing my hives, repper or injector for anything else. |

Hehe thats why a flux scanner with laser and smg is so effective, no where to hide from me. Scan from far away adjust position flank from rear while squadmates distract you from the front. Love it when people dismiss the "random" scans and pay for it dearly. |

Man, no one ever looks towards the future.
The whole reason I chose minmatar logi was because of the effective combination of agression and speed, along with versatality and equipment options.
It's nice to be able to use a scanner...but even better to have a repair nanohive, an uplink, and an injector (or remote explosive) to go along with it.
I figured that scanners would get better eventually, and that equipment was going to be more useful in getting kills than the weapons themselves.
My next goal is to get complex dampeners so that I can finally prevent advanced level scans...just when everyone else starts finding out about the usefulness of scanners. They'll rely on them so much that they won't notice me sneaking up into their base and shooting them in the back. |

Well the way i see it, if you are support logi and you have a scanner in your equipment slot you are doing it wrong because damn near every assault suit i know also is carrying one... |

Sad, but true. I got my scanner to proto during the first week of Uprising. Everyone laughed at me for doing it, but knowing what's around a corner or through a wall has silently saved ass more than I can count. I thought it was my time to shine, but everyone and their mother has a basic scanner and does just about the same thing. -FML |
