I run a maddy rail, poly doesn't allow me to fit any kind of damage mod or cooling system, so I put down some steel |

Yeah, I run Aurum hulls and turrets with MLT upgrades. |

Running an empty slot on a tank is just stupid.
Polarized reps are not advised for sustained combat.

i like to build my tanks around slaughtering infantry. just need to max out plate skill so I can fit a better rep. heat sinks are a great for V vs V |

this is my original fitting:
80GJ Compressed Particle Cannon 2 20GJ blasters
180mm Reinforced steel plate 120mm reinforced steel plate Local power diagnostic system High throughput field stabilizer 2 Light Efficient armor repair Active heat sink 2
this is the best fitting iv come up with since I started this little project:
80GJ Compressed Particle Cannon 2 20GJ blasters
Active Heat Sink 2 High Throughput Field Stabilizer 2 120mm Reinforced Steel Plates 2 Carapace Armor Hardeners Heavy IG-L Polarized Armor Repair modules.
granted, im not able to fit that much armor plates on because of the railgun, but im not going to remove it, that's the turret I use all the time.
ok then, besides the railgun and damage mods, what can I edit or fix?
im looking for answers from other tankers, nobody else.
High mitigation armor tanks, are BEASTLY. I know a glass cannon Gunnlogi won't stand up to one. I'm sure a glass cannon maddie wouldn't either. |

done and done.
I use the exact same fit for AV, 1477k ISK though

DON'T USE ENFORCER TANKS
They're weaker (Less Power Grid), and 5x more expensive, just for a single slot... Quite pointless really considering you can't maximize the effects on the 7 slot systems till you get nearly everything maxed, and if you fill all 8 slots on the Enforcer you're actually decreasing the potency of your vehicle... |

common sense dude, I have always expressed hatred for enforcers. |

Ah I guess I'm just a bit tired cause the first fitting you listed had 8 slots on it, but i might assume it's for prior reference now that I look at it again.. hmm
Anyway what kind of tank are you aiming for? Roaming Assault (Heavy armor, low attack) Ranged Blasting (heavy attack low armor) Hit-n-run (High attack, cooling, speed, low health/resists) "Survivability" is a relative thing depending on how you build your tank.
Anyway.. I used a build with
Hi: 2 shield dampeners 11% (aiming for the 15's)
Low: 2 resistance plates 15% repair (don't remember if Polarized or Efficient atm) 180 mm Nanofibre plates Power Diagnostic 7%
Large: Basic railgun
small: Blaster on roof railgun on front
I was aiming to replace the resistance plates with possibly one or two active hardeners, and that would most likely force me to switch to the Powergrid Expansion 15% instead of the Diagnostic.
The shield dampeners give a couple of seconds to react and engage the Active hardeners is my plan at least. But currently the reps allow me to take a shot or two to determine the area around me if I need to retreat or if that's even possible.

I run an empty High on my Rail......& you die. Care to explain???
You are one of two tankers who I know are better than I am. I'm working on it. I blew a module and got popped. If I had wanted to neutralize you like a douch I could have merely climbed the hill(using my nitrous), and had overwatch on your spawn. We've played that dance before, and it is far less fun than the fight we did have at the redline.
Pretty much every other tanker who tries that is putting themselves at a disadvantage, especially in pub matches. Not having either a scanner or a nitrous greatly increases your chances of either getting ambushed, or having an ambush be successful.
In PC, having the nitrous to cover openings, or the scanner to ferret out uplinks or hiding infantry, makes a large contribution to the ability of the tank to flex its muscle, and be a versatile asset to the team. |
