No. This is not a list but a think tank. I want some game modes now and I can't really think of any myself. I'm more than sure that if we group together and recommend our own and improve them as we go along, we can give CCP some ideas. How about it?
I'm thinking of a possible Capture the Flag type mode with an obvious twist based on the lore. I just don't know what would be the "flag" in this instance.... |

While not a truly new game mode, Base Ambush Variation of Ambush where defenders spawn inside main socket and attackers can spawn at the other sockets.
As for the CTF,
Make it a 3 round single "flag" CTF mode.
The "flag" would be data on a computer. The attackers must hack the computer and carry the data back to their forward base so it can be uploaded to their employers.
Only one player can hold the data and once they bleed out, the computer must be rehacked though the attacking team use a nanite injector to prevent the data carrier from dying.
Defenders must reduce the attackers clone count to zero.
Attackers spawn at their base while defenders spawn a little past their own base (to prevent people spawning in and immediately killing the hacker.
CTF would only really work with the new maps though. |

I like the one above me, and would like to add VIP to the think tank. Each team has a rotating VIP based on who has the most WP. As the VIP all your WPs are doubled to ensure people actually want to have this role on the team. A VIP kill nets you 100 WP. The VIP has an area around them just like a squad order that results in people around the VIP getting additional WPs just like a squad defend order. The team size would be 8v8, this would be an orbital free and free for all type playlist. |

CONVOY
Basically, a Mad Max style road battle.
One team (team A) would be given some sort of "flag" and a stock set of vehicles. Team A would have to carry the flag from their spawn, to a specific location unknown to the enemy. On a certain map, the spawn point could remain the same, but the destination would randomly be one of several points on the map, allowing Team A to possibly set up diversions and make the enemy think their destination is somewhere it's not.
Team B would have multiple spawn points, as to be spread enough to defend any area ( Team B does not know which point the destination is).
Obviously the map would be quite large, and from Team B's point of view, there would be 4 controls points that could be Team A's destination. Each point would have to be approached in a different way
Ei:
Point 1 could be a be a rough, windy path through the mountains, difficult for an LAV to travel on quickly (Flag carrying would be disabled for dropships) A point like this would have somewhat weak-moderate defenses from Team B
Point 2 could be a somewhat smooth straight stretch to the finish, where team B's defenses (turrets, positioning, spawns etc) would be moderate-strong, since a mad-dash to this point would be easy
Point 3 Might be large straight superhighway, with underground tunnel sections, lane separators, leading to the destination in a large city area.
Point 4... top of a mountain. Idk, out of ideas. :P But you see what I'm getting at?
I just want a road battle. Someone a while ago also mentioned the possibility of player-piloted RDV's for moving tanks and such around. THIS would be a useful gametype for that.
