I'm specifically referring to bugs like the old dropship camera, new rendering issues, and other crap.
Can the CPM ask CCP for a 'please explain'?
Saying "oh but CCP is trying something new" doesn't cut it. Basic stuff that should be being picked up by their QA processes are making it into live builds. Like reverting back to the old dropship camera.
This simply isn't good enough if you want the game to grow.

Software Logistics can get a bit tricky at time. Imagine a car assembly plant trying to put together a car with parts from all over the country and every car built is unique but no matter how well the planning for all those parts can go, a once of has a very high chance of parts not fitting when the car is assembled very fast.
Also QA generally doesn't test for things you and I normally work through it has more to do with software hardening and Sony QA is more for certification standards. Most new business models are basically correct on the notion that QA adds no value to products.
A test server would help alleviate some of this but that is on CCP to work out with Sony since its a multi-tiered issue form software, hardware, economic, and legal matter.
Also no software is perfect, there is always bugs, glitches, and unintended consequences but as long as they get found, recognized, investigated, and corrected it should be good to go. |

I like my dropship camera back, why not set the game to have 3 camera angles? (first person, old one(my fav), and the new one) |

Oh please. The game had a perfectly functional camera that was then taken away for no good reason.

because no one would use the new one.
every time we criticize CCP, we're that much further from them to admitting they were wrong. |

Silly ironwolf, always feeling the need to justify everything.
The OP makes a valid point. But then, it's nothing new. The entire history of dust is slated with blatantly obvious, horrible issues. I'd say they were slipping through the cracks, but so many of them are just so immediately apparent that it's not so much a crack as a chasm that CCP seems determined to continue to send lemmings over the edge.
The amount of times we've said "How did this even happen" to CCP is beyond counting. All we can hope for is that whatever crazy stuff is going on in Shanghai, the new EP will whip them into shape and get their **** in order. |

I have a theory that CCP is actually an offshoot of Goonswarm, notorious for trying to break the game. |

its not the bugs that bother me so much as what seems like major early design decisions that bug me the most. Dual tank amarr? Tiers? damage types where are they? Wheres the ammo? Do you even EVE brah? |

Not everything in eve translates well in a shooter. |

Tiers? damage types where are they? Wheres the ammo? Do you even EVE brah? Not everything in eve translates well in a shooter. In the case of Damage types, ammo (there is a number) and dual tanking is possible sort of, check my resistance plating topic for moar details. They just need to take the workable eve ideas and integrate them, they haven't tried yet for lots of things and it seems like jumping up and down on Monty Python's Holy Grail when we look at all those kinds of things and it is ******** how blatantly obvious they seem to be needed. On tiers I would look at Eve and CCP's continuing Tiericide push as seen in their move to collapse all Gallente industrial haulers into one tier. Check out how the individual hauler that used to be worse than the Iteron Mark V are now better for large specialized loads and the Iteron has turned into an easily gankable (more-so than before) ship. They don't like Tiers. They like Tears. |
