Try and get roughly the same number of dudes on each team...FFS.
Come on CCP. I got put in several games yesterday with 12 vs 0 or 15 vs 3 and numbers like that. What gives?
It got so bad that several players simply just left and went over to other games. Why is it that these very basic issues keep emerging in this game?
The second rule of match making:
When you have 2 full squads in a game, wich both have players with same clan tag, (as in 6 STB and 6 AE for example), put them on different teams, then spread the various small groups and randoms to fill them up.
When fault nr 1 and 2 are combined, you end up with 12 highly organized players on one team vs 2 random scrubs on the other, and it just doesn't work that well for an FPS game, or any I'd imagine.
The third rule of match-making is:
I'll leave it blank for suggestions.
PS. Shouldn't player count be 18 at least? So we can have room for 3 full squads on each team? |

Yeah i never got the part where the Matchmakers goes, oh hell we have 16 random people on the left, then match em up guud against 2 stacked teams on the right and sometimes the leftover 4 guys are affilates of the 2 teams. While i dont particluary mind it, for the guy who goes 0/15 its going to be a very bitter taste.
I don't get how some guys can go 0/1x something every game and keep on playing this game, best guess is they don't hence our current population drops.

Third rule (or first) is that with a good MM system, no match is unbalanced... EVER. If a team of expert players in on one side, then a team of expert players is on the other.
Clearly they have a long ways to go. As it is now, it's either stomp or get stomped. Playing in games now is like playing the lotto, completely inconsistent and unreliable. You may score the jackpot and land in a balanced game, but it's all up to terrible odds that you actually end up there.
Squad-free would go a long ways to balance matches out, but CCP is too clueless to ever think about adding such a feature. They are a dev team that in reality, are gaming noobs. Who have absolutely no idea what to look for when it comes to balance cause they are so inexperienced.
Think about it, when you first start playing an online game, you are clueless, and can have fun even in the most ridiculous circumstances. This is CCP. And they refuse to ever get experienced.

The matchmaking is really causing a lot of troubles for Dust.
I can't really remember the last time I was in a balanced match. It's always stomp or get stomped - though lately I've started to pick up LAV racing in games my team is winning to alleviate the problem.
Personally I think that FW matches should be for premade squads and teams that are looking for a tough fight. Public contracts could stay squad-free as a temporary fix until someone at CCP comes up with a good matchmaking algorithm in 2-3 years. |

A lot of groups, like ours for example, will queue sync battles now. Getting a full group of 12 guys in one match really helps you practice for PC. You should try this with your corp/alliance. It's much cheaper than doing PC. And because we can't do corp battles anymore (not sure why), this the only viable option to practice new strategies and tactics.
I feel bad for poor folk who are on the other side though... May the carnage and misery be short lived. |

the second rule of matchmaking is you do not talk about matchmaking (michael ark has already said the first rule)
the third rule of matchmaking is if this your first time in dust, you have to fight( in other words do not be a red line sniping wuss bag |
