hmm, well to start. the new Camera angle feels quite the opposite of what I hoped for, it is much more stiff, not as smooth as before, now that the dropship does not "sway" when you turn the camera, as it gave it a "need for speed" feel when flying at high speeds through obstacles and fighting other dropships, That being said, the flying is much more stiff. Having the camera further back is good, could be slightly closer, but removing the "sway" mechanic when you make a hard turn was just, wrong >.<
to my fellow dropship Pilots, what do you think of the new Camera angle and mechanics of it?
PS:they seemed to have given all the dropships the capability to achieve a rebalanced position much quicker

I dont like it at all i watched a friend play with his assault drop ship( he is not happy) and unlike the previous version the cross hair use to be in front of the ship and now it is in the middle of the drop ship. the camera does seem stiff as well and is it just me or when you jump out of a DS does it drop you under neath the ship or on the side (for me its under neath and its sucks when im not completely on the ground i get crushed) |

New camera looks not bad in comparison with 1.4 , R3 seems to be slower what allows change the view smoother, thanks for fixing rendering, but still can see ppl through hills walls on big distance if using Sniper Rifle. |

I got to say, for actually flying it is better than 1.4. It feels more balanced and a little more responsive. (and man it seems to belt it when you need to escape!) For the ADS its much harder to fire forward now, the angle is more focused for slightly below and is, as you say, reluctant to move, so you have to move the ship more to compensate. The overriding problem has always been the ship in the way. We need to see more beneath it in order to fire clearly but for some reason CCP wants to favour a close up view of the ship. Yes its very pretty but we need to see more of the field.
That said I did recently have the best kill streak of my career just now, but I suspect that was down to the tweaks to balance and some better protection I gave it. I can't believe I missed a heavy 7 times and in the end have to resort to the cannon view and fly almost uncontrollably forward
A corp mate suggested a hover mode for firing in turret view but I'd want to keep moving. Its too easy for forgers to hit as as it is |

i've noticed problems when targeting people... closers to the Ground.. my Camera will go into my Dropship... and then i can't see nadda... and also they did make it easier to hit ground targets... but not so much other aerial targets... i do notice that i am able to make better judgement on turns however, and seem to do 180's a little faster |

on the other hand, I would suggest a combination of both the 1.4 and 1.5 camera angles, Keep the camera sway when making hard turns and hard air breaks, but make it to be a medium between the further back camera and up close and personal camera, that being said, it would make the perfect camera, visibility, flexibility, turret line of sight like it used to be as panning over the dropship would give you that overview while "looking down" in front, added with the new mechanics of the dropship, it would make the dropships significantly better :D
