I'm new to this game. My brother recruited me just 3 days ago. I got out of battle Academy today and the second match I joined and every single one of them afterwards, I was in matches INFESTED with pro players. maybe they had better great or skills, but I just couldn't kill them with my recruit rifle even though I shot them twice as much.
Is there no matchmaking in this game? I was in the public contacts and then decided to try and fight for the Gallente since maybe it was different. It was. It was 10x worse. My whole team lost 5 seconds after we joined the match (sure we all sucked, but shouldn't it take more than 5 seconds to lose?)
TL;DR I keep losing every single match after leaving the battle Academy due to opposing team having more experience and my team being new like me. |

I'm sorry to say it's a known issue. There is currently an imbalanced matchmaking system. We're hoping CCP addresses the problem soon.
My advice though, play with your friend(s), and if you're by yourself, use the Squad Finder. You'll play with experienced players who will give you tips.
All in all, Dust is very difficult at first, and honestly not very friendly at all for new players... but if you tough it out stick with it, it's a very fun game!
So don't give up on it quite yet.
EDIT: Oh! And enjoy your first "Like"!

Based on the type of matchmaking system, you have to play for a while for it to "recognize" you. I've made new alts recently and my first match upon graduation was against a stacked squad of EoN. In the meantime, take advantage of the new tutorials, give productive feedback to the developers and stick with it. This is all stuff that should have been resolved in beta, but if with your help new player experience will get better for everyone. |
