Today's lesson is: Shooter Storage
As most gamers know, every shooter-style game's protagonist stores extra armaments inside an invisible Portable Hole device.
This hole is normally hidden somewhere on their person - pockets, inside a suit jacket, In their shoes, or even planted direclty on their back.
Portable Holes have varied storage capacity depending on the universe, and it can be from anywhere to a single candy bar to an entire nation's armory.
Strangely, Portable Holes are filled up very quickly by grenades, with even the largest-capacity holes holding a maximum of four at a time.
It is also believed that the technology was reverse-engineered by another game universe to create some form of handheld kennel, but that hypothesis is for the Conspiracies chapter. For more info on this and other game conspiracies, go to Page 151.

The amount of crap I was hauling from those caves is pretty ridiculous; especially in my skinny little Dark Brotherhood jumpsuit. And that damn horse was never waiting for me at the other entrance. Now I gotta look at this crap!". Borderlands is the only game that allows you to carry an outrageous amount of gear and actually explained why it works. Sure it's fake but at least there's some sort of explanation unlike DMC (fun game btw). `Sigh. Just another fun game of DUST.

Only instead of filling lots of party balloons, the Protagonist almost always uses the air to jump far higher than any human normally does. As the Portable Hole is wide-open, the Protagonist has to use their breath to maintain this air. This is why many Protagonists have positively horrendous lung capacity compared to the game world's real-life equivalents.
