i have a proto heavy right with 10 mil sp and i just got my proto plates but i cant fit them on my proto sentinal suit with the rest of my proto gear ... i have adv dmg mods proto hmg ( i use boundless over freedom usually) proto smg and adv locus
but will i ever be able to run my four complex plates ??? i currently have been working on getting cpu/pg up but it doesnt seem like the incrimental upgrades can fillthe gap
i can currently run a single complex pl8 with 3 adv but no more
if i could could i get some higher level heavies to chip in ????

Sacrifice your firepower for more tank, from youre description you are doing the opposite.
Put a standard SMG and maybe ditch the locus for a standard flux, maybe then you can fit those plates. |

If I have a proto Main weapon idk why I'd want to have a proto sidearm as well but that's just me.
Getting my skills up for my sidearm is enough for me. No point in wasting a ton of money on something I use as a rare backup but I guess. But that's just because I run shotgun and Plasma Rifle. |

ditch side arm, use sleek grenade, learn when and where to reload... have a logibro buddy with support fire ready for when you need to reload because of your lack of side arm....
When I make a fit I usually think of what I want. If I want to fit full set of plates, Thats what I put on first and make sacrifices elsewhere.
For example I am a logi. I fit plates first equipment second and the figure out what weapon fits int there. If at any moment it has to be a standard weapon then so be it....
I have advanced heavy. I fit my plates first HMG second and then make sacrifices anywhere else. |

yeah but with a near 10 second reload time a good sidearm is a must + proto sidarm a must when running forge |

My fit on a proto heavy frame
2 complex damage 2 complex plates 1 complex rep boundless/six kin allotek flux grenade
In all honesty I have had absolutely no use for a side arm on my heavy HMG suit, it seems like a good idea considering the long reload time but I have never had to pull one out when I actually had them fit in the beginning. |

On the Hmg I disagree, on the forge gun yes I run a six kin smg, but hit points mean jack sheet on a forge fitting. |

Basic SMG for finishing off if you happen to run out of rounds taking down multiple reds and picking your reload time and place are paramount.
Forge? Yep, but advanced SMG will usually do fine outside of PC. Save the proto stuff for plates/shields/damage mods |

Dude, I have Dropsuit Electronics Lv5 and Engineering Lv4 (5 is useless for me, because I won't be able to fill the PG without running out of CPU on a Caldari suit) and I can only dream about having every single piece of equipment to Proto level on my CK.0.
Forget about it...
My idea of "Full Proto" is proto shields, main weapon and grenade OR equipment. I have to run all the rest to basic level to fit this stuff.
I might train all the optimization skills in the future, but it takes an insane amount of SP for very little rewards, so this is a very low position in my list.

The only way to go full proto is to use a complex CPU and PG mod.
You might be sacrificing two low slots, but you'll have everything prototype.
Also BTW: I run a basic heavy with two highs to fit two complex damage mods on an advanced HMG. That's doing a TON more damage then your boundless with a single enhanced damage mod. Heck I could probably run a basic HMG and still being doing more damage.
Use an advanced weapon with a complex damage mod and you'll save yourself both money and fitting costs.
Lastly, don't just run 4 plates. You'll be so slow that the extra health won't do anything for you. That, and if you don't have anyone to keep reps on you, or even just a way to slowly repair your armor between battles, you're just wasting fitting space again.
Advanced or even basic plates will keep your speed up without sacrificing too much health. |

Well that depends on what you mean by "full proto" Because technically the only items designated with "proto" are your weapons and dropsuit. All the modules are labeled as "complex".
Heres the thing dude. What you have to do from here on out is level up your core skills. CPU upgrades, and PG upgrades are a start. That will net you 25% extra For each right there. Those two skills are expensive, but having those will ensure that every suit you make in the future will be able to get fitted to its fullest potential.
If you want to go really advanced you can get "dropsuit core upgrades" to level 5 and that will give you and additional 5% to PG/CPU, adding up to 30% boost on both.
Now..... if you are in fact using the proto sentinel suit then you should have 4 lows. If you want to have 4 complex plates on it then your probably going to have to drop something else, because complex plates take up a CRAP TON of PG.
So basically when you get to this point its all about what matters more to you. Do you like having a crap ton of health but only a decent gun? Or would you prefer above average health with a great gun? Keep in mind that Four complex armor plates would reduce your speed by 20% and that's pretty sizable.
But meh...... its completely up to you what you want to do.
I would also recommend getting shield and armor upgrades up to level 5. This would increase your dropsuits base health by 25% (for both shields and armor). So instead of having something around 400 shields, and 400 armor you'll have 500 shields and 500 armor at base (without anything added on). |

Cx SMG's are WAY too Expensive. Drop it for STD SMG or ADV Flaylock (since your boundless will be your main anyways) and MAybe at level 4 - 5 passive CPU-PG you might be able to fit 2 - 3 cx armor plates...(I think, im not a HiGHER level Heavy, im and Adv Proto Forgegunner)
BTW this channel for heavies only? i have a member in my corp that is a very decent Heavy and he's looking for some advice and to play with other heavies... couldd you elaborate more on this channel please? |

3 complex one enhanced with my freedom, or boundless, then see what fits the other Slots, but no secondary weapon. I have over 1500 health and can survive rail or forge direct hits |

This suit fits:
Sentinel Ak.0 - Boundless Heavy Machine Gun M209 Assault Submachine Gun M1 Locus Grenades Complex Heavy Damage Modifier Complex Armor Plates Complex Armor Plates Complex Armor Plates Enhanced Armor Plates
506 shield, 1073 armor. You need damn good PG skills.
And I don't know if you know this, but the M209 Assault SMG has the same DPS as the Six Kin SMG (slightly higher, actually), but it's 13k isk cheaper and way easier to fit.
ED: BONUS - I thought up a fit name, too.
