Rail Part of KaalakiotaGÇÖs Stahl line of weaponry, the rail rifle is a fast-firing precision weapon designed for field operations where penetrative power and range are paramount. Developed using the corporationGÇÖs proprietary microscale technology, the rail rifle solves oversaturation issues endemic to sustained fire electromagnetic weaponry. However, its greater range and power are offset by a smaller magazine capacity and lower rate of fire than similarly classified weapons. The foregrip design aids stabilization and remains cool to the touch even during prolonged discharge where the barrel can exceed mean operating temperatures. Featuring a reinforced subassembly and compact, heavy-barrel design, the rail rifle is the premier fully automatic microscale weapon available today.
Combat A gas-operated, short-barreled weapon, the combat rifle is a semi-automatic weapon well-suited to both short and medium range combat. Classified as a light support weapon, it is typically employed in target-rich environments where the high volume of fire produced enables operators to engage multiple targets in rapid succession, whilst the weaponGÇÖs extended range keeps the operator just beyond the threat threshold of most standard assault rifles. Its advanced bullpup configuration reduces weapon weight and improves maneuverability making it the ideal cross-over weapon for urban and field combat. The modular design has more practical advantages as well in that itGÇÖs cheap to maintain and easily replaced if damaged, making it one of the most reliable weapons in service today.
Skills/bonuses for these were the same as whats given for the assault rifle.

Pretty sure the Combat rifle will eat armor alive. Bullpup gas-operated weapon should be projectile technology and we already know they work fine against armor.
Rail... might be the same as sniper rifles (they are actually rail rifles, if I'm not mistaking)... |

The Rail is long range Breach weaponry. And the Breach are sweet precision tactical weapons. They have the highest accuracy ratings.
The the combat rifle will be the burst. Burst has a slightly longer range than the AR, and has the highest DPS of the weapons, the combat rifle is a semi-automatic weapon well-suited to both short and medium range combat. Classified as a light support weapon, it is typically employed in target-rich environments where the high volume of fire produced enables operators to engage multiple targets in rapid succession, whilst the weaponGÇÖs extended range keeps the operator just beyond the threat threshold of most standard assault rifles.
So it's semi-auto yet has high volume of fire, sounds like burst. Also if you try the burst, it feels more like a support weapon for its sheer lack of killing power but it can definitely wound in one shot or pick off the weak. I used to think that as well, but the rail rifle's description let me think of a long range weapon. I agree that the combat rifle might sound like a burst rifle, thinking again...
But if you ask me, it would be much cooler to have 4 completely different basic weapons (+ variants) instead of this "weapons that mimic other weapons" system. Sounds boring.
I'd rather have the rail rifle as a long range weapon (completely different from the Tac AR and the SCR) and the combat rifle as a badass unique weapon (it's not clear what it is from the description, but it actually sounds badass ). |

Are these still valid numbers in today's update? Cause i would like to know why this data was not in game so far and why it continues to be absent?

the rail rifle will do more damage to armor than to shields.
CCP has said already that hybrid weapons fall into to categories.
Rail Rifle= long range + 90% to shields and 110% to armor
Assault Rifle= short range +110% to shields and 90% to armor |

They really really dont since they are all supposed to be pale imitations of the other races specialty I mean lets compare the tac rifle with the scrambler, scrambler has better damage, better firing rate, more range, larger clip with the only downside being the over heat while the tac just kind of sucks now which is fine since its not the gallente specialty
Oh and I want to toss this bit in here since its always overlooked, if turbo controllers were as wide spread as guys were complaining in the tacticals heyday then you would have full auto scrambler rifles ripping people apart since its heat build up is based on seconds and not shots fired, so yeah people can pull the trigger/click the button that fast |
