I'm happy to see the support but from a corporate standpoint I think it is difficult to pick and choose which people's situations need a sticky (over time).

Yes, but from an ethical standpoint the thread does, and a sticky won't cause a decrease in revenue. Unless they have to pay CCP Random FourumGuy to place a sticky.

If there are 20 people with events that are almost as significant who is going to make the judgement on which ones make the cut?

Not to mention -- the folks around here are EVE and Dust players. Eventually there will be some type of incident.

Don't underestimate the DUST/EVE community. Based on the community's donations and efforts to save the life of QGs son, I'd say that this is the most understanding and rational community to date (especially for an FPS game)). And when everthing's over just remove the sticky.

I'm not underestimating the community. I'm not saying anything negative about your thread or the other thread.

However, in the past I've done some work in the realm of company forums. Things like buy and sell, fundraising and so on have a way of growing over time. I'm simply raising a cautionary note -- if a company wants to get actively in involved in such things it should think it through and have a plan.
