Match-maker must be under the impression that you can handle that - maybe from your War Points or your KDR. Considering you had more war points than any one on their team, I'd say it's working perfectly fine. |

I played for about 3 hours last night with just one other corp mate and we pretty much got the absolute worst matches I've been in ever. It would be us and maybe one other known guy against two full squads.
The matchmaking is an absolute fail at times. |

Assuming both of you have a 3.0 KDR or higher and use certain gear, it makes perfect sense.

I have 1,630,000 WP .... But that doesn't means i am Superman.....Stop taking drugs Scotty.
Somehow it always puts me in a team full up with new players.. like i can single handily unite all the Blueberries and kick the ass of a team full up with Protobears.... I am good.... but not "that" good... |

If you want to play that way than lobby for custom games, I'm trying to help point out that matchmaker does not work, and you thinking 2 vs 10 is somehow working as intended just tells me that you're trolling me. I'm too frustrated from that match, so I bid you good day. |

Matchmaking right now is pretty fail. Constantly stacking teams with squads (and experienced players, often PC players) against no squads and little to no decent or well-known players.
Pretty sure MM doesn't take into consideration squads overall skill, but rather is based only on the one that queues up. I bet if the SL was a new player, but the rest were 15+ million SP PC hardened players, it would only take note of the SL's skills and match based on that.
Also based on how lopsided matches get, MM doesn't seem to take into consideration the amount of players within a squad, just the one who joins. So say there is 2 players on one team, no squad, and 2 full squads on the other team... well MM would think this is balanced because it only counted the SL as a player, not the entire squad. Which is probably why we see so many lopsided matches (and consequently, matches with several squads on one side, and pure randoms on the other).
i am willing to bet that if they had squad-free modes, the MM in it's current state would work quite well, as it wouldn't have to consider the overall skill of players within a squad, just each individual player as they join. |
