has ccp mentioned giving havs a base res...it makes no sense that logi lavs come with 30% res naturally but tanks start with 0 a better way over all to balancing tanks is really simple, give all tanks a base res stat that equates out to it be able to tank its tier of current av...i do not care enough to run numbers so i couldnt tell you what that base stat should be. and i am not a mathematician.
it seems to me the answer is simple really..the logi lavs because of that base stat resistance are balanced vs their tier of av...so why do tanks and durps not have the same but higher as they are of a diff class of vehicle..ccp is wasting time to completely overhaul vehicles its stupid this game is progressing to slow.
they could balance the fits they have here vs the av they have here by applying one stat that they ALREADY HAVE IN FOR LOGI LAVS..to all vehilces..instead they are gunna make this a slow and painful process that may or MAY NOT come out balanced and will ruin what is left of the already fragile dust 514 vehicles community.

really all vehicles need is a little more survivability this would do that
then ccp could focus on small fixes to balance out the different type of vehicles already here for example the gallentes vast superiority to caldari in HAV.
i mean a full redo is nice and all but it really isnt healthy for the community in dusts failing state...and especially when you consider the future of the gaming industry as a whole.
it just looks like poor business planning to me sorry
but at this state isnt a simple fast fix better than a slow and painful full redo?

You know they're getting rid of logi LAVs when they make the vehicle changes, right? They are also changing AV weapon stats. |

but it is possible to balance what is here without doing a complete reworking and this game doesnt honestly have enough players as is without ccp putting one of the drawing aspects of this game out of commission for so long..but its whatever..ill prolly be on planetside 2 while dust is being reworked and just capping out everyday with my logi as always...its just irritating that they have to make everything complicated...console gamers dont have high tolerance for bullshit beta development like pc gamers do.
if they are gunna spend months doing anything it should be porting this to pc so it will survive the coming of the ps4..the eve side playerbase expansion alone would probably save dust
i mean if they did this like 8 months ago great great but i bet by 1.5 the average playerbase is down to 2 k

You say you don't want things more complicated but then you ask for all vehicles to get base resistance, thus complicating vehicles at their base. The way to balance AV against vehicles is simply to reduce the damage that AV does at their end. |

What you said is not necessarily correct, as far as I can see an LLAV can have a base resistance of 20% with no mods and a tank 10% since the vehicle shield resistance and same with armor is to all vehicles, LLAV's get an additional 2% per rank to their resistances on lvling up the LLAV skill. However, to get 30% passive all the time you have to put down at least 1 resistance mod. If I am wrong in my calculation of this please inform me what skills and all I missed or did not include in. |

If I am wrong in my calculation of this please inform me what skills and all I missed or did not include in. hmmph mine starts at 30% there is a shield res skill +2% per lvl and logi lav skill gives another +2% per lvl. maybe that is why although last i checked one of those skills is broken it makes no sense that logi lav comes with base res while tanks and durps dont..and i think by adding a base res to tanks and durps there really isnt much need for a full vehicle over haul..just some small balancing changes ..between caldari and gallente..

but regardless obviously ccp is going to do the slow painfull route i was just curious as to why they just didnt do this as to me it looks like all that they really need to do. |
