I've noticed a problem: Many AV players think that they have to kill vehicles, not because they want to be entitled dickwads, but because they really do have to. Otherwise, no pay for the match. So rather, how about they get points while they damage the vehicle, up to a point, then it hits a cap for a little while (about a minute or 2). Each vehicle type (maybe the tech 2 vehicles gets a separate set because of different values) would get a different set of points, because all of them has different sets of values. That means, shooting at a HAV then capping out means that you would cap out from shooting at a MAV or LAV. Lastly, the cap doesn't reset if you kill the vehicle, to keep farming in check.

Because it was too easy to farm it. Like I said, there should be a cap on it, and the cap wouldn't restart on it if you killed the vehicle, so steady income of WP, and if you kill it, a extra bit of WP's. |

We should certainly get WP if some lamer recalls their vehicle within 20s of us damaging it. Number of HAV kills I miss due to recalls is beginning to annoy me. |

Peace, Godin I don't even really think it's that. They might consider it a great excuse, but if they can't solo a tank, any tank, no matter who is piloting it, then it's OP, no matter the circumstances. Doesn't matter if I have a fusion accelerator and F-84 scanner, or using a max damage rail, if they can't solo it, then it's OP and must be nerfed. Nevermind I've been tanking for a while now, and generally know what I'm doing. The only problem is that AV is so much more effective at destroying me than another tank is. |

I only go after tanks that are causing alot of grief. There have only been a handful of times where either i or a squadmate couldnt solo a tank. I agree that it shouldnt be that easy. |

A lot of stuff is getting WP but it will take a few patches.. like 1.7 or 1.8 depending on how long it takes them to reach an "ideal balance".
Edit: As for the vehicle WP returns I don't know what patch that might be or if they might toss the return of it, but it is currently "being looked at". |

Oh, great, then being rewarded for warding us off is back. Now AV'ers can't say that they get underpaid, unless they don't work for it. |

Edit : yet he's previously stated he wasn't here when they were, so I guess he's just wishing he had been. |

Screw the farming cap, if somebody wants to farm WP in this manner, then more power to them as it really wouldn't be too fruitful and somewhat difficult to pull off consistently (this can already happen with revive WP, yet it is extremely rare).
Infantry weapons aside, any AV weapon should give equal rewards for a hit. Whether that be 1 AV nade, 1 swarm volley (or partial volley), 1 plasma cannon hit, or one forge hit. And vehicle destruction WP needs to be massively increased. To the tune of 1000 WP for a tank destruction, 500 for a dropship, and 250 WP for a LAV (500 for LLAV).
I think 15-25 WP per hit on a vehicle is reasonable. 15 for LAV's, 20 for LLAV's and dropships, and 25 for tanks. |

That's far too excessive. 250 WP for LAVs? The sky will rain with orbitals and tears. Especially if you have rewards for just a hit rather than damage. If you have it so that a partial swarm volley generates 15-25 WP, then that potentially means a full swarm volley gives you 90-125 WP. That's ridiculous. |

I think he ment if 1 missile out of a volley hits you'd still get the 15-25 points.
250 for LAVs would be a bit much, in fact all his figures were a bit much IF we were considering the damage points aswell ... perhaps 100 for LAV, 200 for dropship and 400 for HAV would be closer to the mark.
Edit : the other thing to consider is the kill points ... yet you don't get any from a dropship kill since they bail out AFTER it blows up :-/ |

Orbital requirements needed to go up when we got 6 mans squads, yet it hasn't. Don't disregard this just because of that.
Obviously it would need to be changed before we get vehicle damage rewards, but that doesn't mean it is excessive or unreasonable.
Orbital WP requirement needs to be moved up somewhere between 4500 and 6000 WP. it should be cherished as something rare and extremely important/match changing, rather than how it is now, spammed because it is so ridiculously easy to obtain.
I remember the days when my squad would curse me out (or be upset with me) because I failed on a orbital cause I wasn't patient enough. That needs to return.

Stop whining Spike, you cleary don't av often enough to have an opinion on the subject!
Yes OP, WP for dmg makes sense, there are many ways it could be done! But in general if tankers don't want av chasing them round the map, there needs to be more rewards than just blowing it up. It creates the wrong mentality.

I'd settle for just being able to get points for partially damaging a vehicle knocking out only a single feature like weapon, track or defensive subsystems. |
